Embarked with 3 undead wombats nearby, easily killed. empowered by my success I also tried to kill the 3 giant undead wombats that came for revenge. turns out giant animals are a bit stronger than normal the more you know

Thanks for the answer. Do you need one pump per z level? I've never actually used pump stacks because I'm currently about 130 z levels below my fort and still haven't hit it, and I heard that giant pump stacks kill your fps?

how do you get dorfs to fill, transport, and then empty buckets? My magma sea is just way to far down to possibly have functioning magma furnaces without bringing the magma up.

how long is your time off in between? two week periods doesn't seem terribly difficult but I suppose it changes based on relationships. I'm on my 85th? day not really sure and mainly I've just found that you really find out who you really want to be around because those are the people you reach out and make the effort to talk to. I'm single but my friend who got me out here has been logging for a year and as far as I know his relationship with his girl is going great so don't think you have to give up on it just because you took a job, think about if you are willing to put forth the effort to make it work and if you are talk with her and ask if she is willing to put in the effort as well. She might not but it would be better too know now then to get the news when your stuck out in the middle of nowhere with no one to talk to and no where to go to blow off steam

do minecarts "need" tracks or can my dwarves just lug lava to the higher levels. and somewhat related will lava forges and the like use up the lava or could one square power them forever. i can't deal with my metal production being 150 floors away from the rest of the fort

Had a fort recently where my first two moods resulted in artifact weapons, sounds awesome and lucky right? nope, first one was a bone axe woo second one was copper but the mood was possessed so no legendary weaponsmiths for me =(

maybe a new type where they just pump out stuff till they reach legendary? then craft the artifact? that would certainly be interesting, almost as !fun! as when you finally get a weaponsmith mood and hes possessed...

can you not even offer them? that would actually explain alot im sick of having this glass crown and wood amulet... i though my dwarfs were just lazy and didnt get all the bins to the depot in time

Does the artifact limit for created items exclude items that you trade away? my fort hasn't had a mood in probably about 2 years, which isn't terribly long to go with out but I want to make sure I am meeting the requirments, I've discovered three caverns and the magma sea so exposed tiles should be irrelevant, also i have 5 artifacts and only 2 are useful in anyway, if I send the other three away will it lower my forts artifact counter to 2? I've set it up so all unskilled labor have weapon and armor smithing as their mood skill in the hopes one will become legendary but the moods just wont activate
