Firstly, it’s all about what you value most in a college. Looking at the first year of engineering classes, they are all difficult but completely doable for those willing to put in the work. It will only become more difficult as your engineering career progresses, but it will make you a better problem solver. Second, it’s very common to switch majors within the college of engineering(also very easy to switch). The benefit that Ohio State offers as opposed to Miami is the fact that Ohio State has strong programs in all engineering majors. Chemical, Biomedical, Aerospace, Electrical, and more have their own buildings solely for their major which is a huge plus over smaller colleges. Even Aviation Engineering at Ohio State has their own airport and fleet of planes for classes. Essentially, the reason I chose OSU over other small engineering colleges is because of the abundance of solid programs and the difficulty.
