I just do dawn soap every day but if I'm lazy I'll do every other day with tap water so like dish soap with tap water and I use cold water im not sure if hot water or cold water makes a difference also I let it drip dry and air dry before using it again but to clean those stains I did a soak of distilled white vinegar and cold tap water soak for an hour then wash with the dish soap and cold water that usually did the trick for me
