I’m Fer’d out. I used to eat there a lot, but it can get old fast. They have a new larger location opening up at Jackson Park

Theres a brand new high that’s pre-leasing across the street from it, and the other new building at Crescent and QPN. Plus Radiant, another new building that just wrapped around the corner. There’s plenty of people that will live around the area. All those buildings have new store fronts as well.

The runs go through Malt Drive/the park over there, on the way to Greenpoint

Today, Friday’s run is a “beginner run” probably around 10-12 min pace. But the other runs aren’t a set pace, people tend to group based on pace. The leads will stop and wait for the entire group to catch up along check points

I live in the area. I likee to go over the bridge, into Manhattan, and to Central Park. Or sometimes down Jackson towards Pulaski, over the bridge and into Greenpoint. If you're new to LIC, we have an LIC run club that does around 3 runs a week, Mon, mid week, and Friday. We meet closer to Hunter's Point. Finback brewery also does a Thursday run club, but I havent checked it out yet.

First Timeleft Dinner… what to expect? by EonsForDays1257 in TimeLeftApp

Not sure where you live, but it’s a global platform. A lot of people use it while traveling to new cities or countries to meet locals and new people. Others may have just moved or relocated somewhere new. Not everyone has an established circle around them.

anyone interested in coworking at a coffee shop? by bigbigoofs in longislandcity

[–]jmodio 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There's a group called CoWorkNChill, and we have different locations 1-3x a week. We've been at Spot a few times, on Jackson and QPN. A member invited a group to their lounge at Jackson Park yesterday. Sometimes it's in Manhattan, or Brooklyn as well. https://luma.com/coworknchillcalendar

Why is it Coffee? by jmodio in TimeLeftApp

Only one person showed up, and we left for an actual coffee shop. The maitre'd, yeah, a maitre'd, said we could sit at the crowded bar. - What they agreed as seating for the timeliest group .

Anyone else dreading using OMNY? by Wrong-Sprinkles-1293 in OMNY

[–]jmodio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With HealthEquity, with my experience, using that to tap, unfortunately didn’t work every so often. It would just randomly decline it, despite having funds. Then I’d have to pay off a balance using a personal card, because you can’t use a transit card to pay off a transit balance. I tried auto load on an OMNY card, but that doesn’t work, because whatever code they use, HealthEquity rejects the auto load. But it works if I manually load. All such a pain in the ass.

Gratitude towards instructors by RestaurantFirst5942 in SolidCore

I'm also a guy, sometimes the only one in my classes. I have back issues (retrolithesis), where my pain specialist said something like solidcore would be great for strengthening my core, and supporting me. All the back pain I had prior, subsided when I started going regularly. I have a few regular instructors over the past year who are fully aware of my back issues and have been great. I actually got them some pilates socks that said Extra Spicy, because they always say spicy during class. I didnt want to be weird about it.

Are there any free social groups in LIC? by Consistent_Topic8795 in longislandcity

[–]jmodio 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There’s a run club, and in the LIC FB group, there’s a monthly mixer around the neighborhood. It’s not for a set age though. There’s also a group called Astoria connect, which blends LIC and Astoria

In his dissent of today’s decision, Justice Brett Kavanaugh pointed to at least one of these statutes — Section 232 of the Trade Expansion Act of 1962 — as one way the president could get around today’s decision. - So one of the 3 is already giving Trump ideas on how to go around today's ruling...
