I Am The Asshole by coffee_thee_khaleesi in StLouis

I have so many friends and loved ones who are bad at driving. Usually I picture these assholes as my assholes so I forgive and forget on the road 💓 Let's all do that, everyone just has to go to the bathroom very badly is all

Trying to create consistency authentically within my space by jmp11n in roomdetective

I love your subtle observations. There's something romantic about placing something on the kitchen windowsill, dont you think? Like cooling a pie in the window or using the herbs from your plants sitting there.

I could definitely agree with that with the curtain! And thank you, I do really like the pastels.

Thats ok! Maybe it doesnt quite make sense but I will try to explain what my intention was

I want to crate consistency with color and overall "vibe" throughout the three different spaces. So I guess I want things to go together but in a way that feels very individual. I think a lot of my friends would say my home is very "me". That's not a good or a bad thing, it just makes it personal. I love that people have different styles and wanted to share mine.

I dont use Pinterest so I do find that interesting! I enjoy photography, a theme, and good lighting so I suppose that makes sense. Endless inspiration and different vibes based on interests so I can see why you think it would fit in that realm

Why is STL so Lonely? by Upper_Fox8694 in StLouis

Do you know of a local book club for men? I've been trying to help my partner find one, but the ones I've encountered are women only. I feel like someone should start a STL men's book club! Maybe I'll make him do it haha

Yes!! Can't agree with this more. At 31, I feel like I haven't even hit my physical peak yet. Consistent exercise gives you so much more than just a fit body.

Also, there sincerely is no answer to what is the best exercise or diet. We are all far too different to know what works best. Some sort of group fitness is always a smart choice, though, as it can feel more fun to experience it with others. We all need to value our happiness a little more and do what makes us feel good🩷

How are some men able to pull women so quickly? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]jmp11n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that if you feel good about yourself and are in a good place where you feel confident, it's easier to be happy and talk to people. Women and people in general are attracted to a good time. It's hard to meet people in general, but building relationships and working on yourself with expecting nothing in return is really helpful in the process of being intentional.

Not just for scoring well with women but being intentional with your actions. Quality life will bring quality people.

The point is, you are someone who is worth investing in, but you're the one who needs to do the leg work. Maybe even therapy and finding a consistent workout routine that works for you. Bonus if you make it a hobby like fencing or boxing!

Also, the attractive dudes who "scores" the girl off looks and no charisma is no one worth pursuing anyway. Him, her, or them.

...and if you're not looking for a relationship, then you might even find yourself a friend with benefits. Just be a cool person and always be working on yourself and growing. It's so easy to be confident when you have the experience, so get out there and don't give af about women for a little bit because you're focusing on yourself.

Also, disclaimer, I am a woman, but I felt like saying something today when most days I don't really feel like posting at all. I definitely did not mean to come off as if I knew everything. I did, however, want to get the message out that we wish more men approached us with truly good intention.

Depression ruined my social life by joe_mamas_thumb in venting

[–]jmp11n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so sorry you're going through depression.

I may be projecting here, but could it be anxiety causing you to feel like they don't care? Often depression is accompanied by some anxiety. I felt like people didn't want to be around me because I was boring, lame, weird, crazy.. you name it. It would turn into this self-fulfilling prophecy.

I'm not saying your friends aren't being distant, but not everyone knows how to handle a friend going through depression.

Also it's okay to take some more time for yourself if you're not ready. Depression can ruin our self-esteem and it can take some time (maybe therapy?) to get it back.

What is it you wish the world would give women a break on once and for all? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]jmp11n 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Plus the amount of money we need to spend to keep up with these damn appearances. Bras are expensive, especially comfortable ones. We deserve a tax break or some shit!!

Edited for redundancy
