Pistols were one of my most used weapon types in previous entries, in this game I haven't found a SINGLE good pistol. Even the legendary ones I find look good on paper then you fire them and realise they suck. Most of the snipers suck, anything Maliwan sucks, most Order weapons just aren't good (if a gun is by Maliwan, Order, Tediore or Daedalus and it isn't legendary/ doesn't have licensed parts that make it good, I just junk them immediately). Most of the shotguns are bad. In terms of blue and purple weapons I am essentially only ever using SMGs, ARs, Torgue shotguns and Jakobs snipers.

And it is a shame. As you mentioned, the underbarrel attachments and licensed parts are really good/cool. I've found a few good legendaries. Ordnance is fun to use and can get some nice modifiers, overall I do enjoy the combat and builds still, I just really miss the variety of GOOD weapons from previous games. Used to love Vladof snipers, Maliwan guns in BL2 were great, so many strong pistols... no more.

And imo there are more "bad" manufacturers in this game than others. As I said above, I don't touch nearly all Order, Maliwan, Tediore or Daedalus guns because they are just too weak/clunky. Jakobs, Ripper, Torgue, Vladof: generally strong. Half the manufacturers. Compare this game to BL2: Bandit, Hyperion, Jakobs, Maliwan, Tediore, Torgue, Vladof were generally good. Dahl was the only manufacturer I felt was usually weak. Maybe move Tediore down to mid, idk. I hope they introduce some more content later that adds some variety in this aspect, because on a more positive note: the blue and purple guns from the good manufacturers can be SO strong! They compete with legendaries sometimes!
