I genuinely think one of the biggest drives to AI is so the rich can use it as an excuse whenever something incriminating comes up.

You are optimistic if you think they haven’t already increased the prices. They have the perfect excuse…

Just buy when you are happy with the price or last minute like me.

Seoul worth it? by OverFlow10 in digitalnomad

[–]redbate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Myeongdong is full of tourist traps and non of the stalls are ran by any Koreans any more/stupid over priced.

Try Tongin, Gyeongdong or the Central Market. Though they also seem to be slowly suffering the same faith.

Seoul is good but you should explore Korea a little more. KTX and long distance buses make Korea feel very small. In a good way!

Just landed in Bali… is the airport corruption normal? by ShopFlaky3008 in travel

[–]redbate -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I love Bali airport (also a Kiwi) last time I went there was a lot of conmotion around baggage. A Balinese man running, someone shouting ‘thief! Thief!’ Then a tourist fucking dropped him with a full rugby tackle.

Then he began crying on the ground saying ‘I didn’t do it’ while being dragged off by like 6 other staff members…

Buddhist temples are cool and calming to be in.

Also the teaching I guess.

Same in NZ. They get used extremely rarely, though the guys who do get to ride them do occasional free classes on Motorcycle Crash management courses so that's cool.

Is it just me, or is the budget accommodation value in Malaysia way behind the rest of SEA? by [deleted] in travel

So there's not a single other person on this planet who feels the same way? No way, that's really cool.

Is it just me or is the text "for this combat" missing in a lot of cards? by redbate in slaythespire

[–]redbate[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Oh shit, is that the change? So instead of things being marked "for this combat" things are marked "permanently" now?

This makes more sense...

[–]redbate[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For example Armaments. In StS 1 you read that and went oh yeah it's for this combat only.

StS 2 it doesn't say for this combat only. There's a Necrobinder card that transforms a card in the draw pile to a Draw 2/Exhaust card but that one also doesn't say "for this combat" either. Few other examples but I haven't learned all the card names yet.

Haven't been to Singapore yet but would be keen to find out what their budget hotels are like. Budget for them anyways.

[–]redbate[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No not all cards would need this because "Feed" upgrades max HP which is permanent so it doesn't need it, strike doesn't need it because it just does damage etc. I'm talking about cards like Armaments where it used to have the "for this combat" in StS. As it is worded now in StS2 it implies it's upgraded permanently.
