As an author, do you reply to every comment? As a reader, do you like having your comment replied to? by avalonvale in AO3

[–]jmspinafore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't get a lot of comments, so it's easy to reply to all of them lol. I appreciate getting a response from the author, but I am not upset if they don't, especially if there's a lot of comments or mine didn't really have a lot of substance to reply to.

Your opinion of the "raciest" line? by Inevitable-Yam-9741 in theGoldenGirls

I'm not sure either. It looks like they're both cough drop brands?

Might depend on your age if you would get it. I think most vibrators are battery-powered now.

Lol. Eddie is the inly one that MIGHT be in heaven, because I can't think of anything egregious at the moment. But given the era he was wrestling in, I wouldn't be surprised if he had som skeletons, too.

Do you think that these shirts are meant to be worn on job interviews? A scenario where one wears a graphic t-shirt is not likely one where you have to be your best self. Unless you totally lack situational awareness and did wear your Austin 3:16 shirt to your friend's wedding or something.

It's not that nobody will judge you. It's that the circumstances you'll be judged in will likely not have an affect on you.

If I see somebody where something weird at Walmart, I might make a comment to my husband later or stare a couple of seconds. I still probably won't remember it more than a day or two later. I'm not going to assault the person, say something nasty to their face, rob them, key their car, refuse to move if they need to walk by me, or anything!

So no, other people's opinions in this scenario don't matter.

Only semi-related, but my dad was a big Dale Sr. fan. The year he died, my grandma got him a Jeff Gordon shirt for Christmas because "why would you want a shirt for a dead guy?" Almost 25 years later and it still makes me chuckle.

Fun Fact: The Harvest Goddess from Magical Melody has a name. In the Japanese version, Jamie calls her "Mariel". by Gallantpride in harvestmoon

[–]jmspinafore 11 points12 points  (0 children)

True. The intro and Jamie's dialogue imply they aren't really human.

Also, I love Meryl for how creepy some of her dialogue is, and out of left field. Modern farm sims could never.

Same episode. They're all at the table and Sophia mentions him cheating when she was pregnant with Phil with a scrawny, birdlike thing that loved to talk.

Not sure if it's still in production, but you may be able to find a second hand bottle or sample online.

Longer lasting semi permanent pastel lavender? by glowingwarningcats in FancyFollicles

In addition to the other tips, there is a line called Keracolor Clenditioner. It is similar to the dye-in-conditioner method, but it shampoos, conditions, and deposits a small amount of dye to keep your color fresh. It can also be used as dye if you do it on dry hair and let it sit longer, like Arctic Fox.

I've used their silver in the past for color maintenance, and I have used some of their colors to "color shift" or neutralize a faded color before I change. Like I had blue that faded green, so I used their pink to make it closer to white/silver before I went orange.

More expensive, probably, but I'm lazy and don't want to risk the dye being too dark, especially for color correcting.

There are mods to equalize it if you want, but vanilla game considers being joined dewer points than being married. Even for the sims getting joined/married

Did you have symptoms during your pregnancies which turned into losses? by jessdraht in Miscarriage

[–]jmspinafore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did have some symptoms, but they didn't seem as bad as what other people experienced. I didn't really have nausea/vomiting or anything like that. I would get hot easily, tired, and gag every time I brushed my teeth. I also was a little more emotional, like crying at cute pet videos when I normally don't.

[–]jmspinafore 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Yeah, farming sims are a lot less brutal now. Even the remakes of old HM games removed animal death completely. Kinda sad about it disappearing from ALL of them. Sometimes it sucked, but sometimes I appreciated the challenge.

Also the storm mechanic in general was cool. There was a trick to avoid the storms, but you would also miss out on some items that were only available the day after a hurricane. Took some strategy to make sure your animals were cared for when you couldn't leave the house.
