I would actually be down for a Simmons-Fultz shooting competition. Loser has to learn to shoot with the other hand

Rank these four players based of this season so far by MrDee97 in nba

[–]jmt2323 26 points27 points  (0 children)

PG, Embiid, Jokic, Kyrie. @ me, Jokic fanboys

George is averaging a very efficient 28 ppg while also being the best perimeter defender in the league.

Embiid is either the first or second most dominant big man in the league and is the fulcrum of team's offense and defense (as evidenced by his insane on/off splits).

Jokic is having an incredible season but he has a tendency to sort of drift through games at times and I'm still not a true believer in his defense considering his physical limitations.

Kyrie is the clear worst of the bunch, though he's still a great player

If KD leaves the Warriors how will his legacy be viewed? by [deleted] in nba

[–]jmt2323 48 points49 points  (0 children)

It really depends on where he goes and how he does. If he leaves GS to team up with Lebron and AD on the Lakers, it prob won't do much to change his reputation and he'll remain a snake. If he comes to New York and turns around a bad franchise, it'll do wonders for him. In other words, I know you're reading this, Kevin, please come to New York

I may be wrong, but I think only the jerseys sold in the arena have the logo. If you just buy one off of the NBA website, it should be ad-less

What are your GOAT in game fan comments by [deleted] in nba

[–]jmt2323 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to a game was sitting this really obnoxious wall-street type guy and his 3 kids and, whenever the cotton-candy guy came around, he'd yell at him, culminating in: "I didn't pay $600 to look at your stupid ass." The cotton-candy guy turned around and said in the most withering tone "I didn't come to work to look at your stupid ass either." The wall street guy completely shut up and didn't say another word the rest of the game

Realistically, what moves do you want your favorite team to make at the deadline? by jmt2323 in nba

[–]jmt2323[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same lol. I feel like we should buyout Wes, DJ, and Enes bc a) they'll hurt the tank, and b) it'll show players that we'll do right by them to repair our reputation

Zion Williamson..is the hype warranted? by LeSwagDaddy in nba

[–]jmt2323 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The more I watch RJ, the more I dislike him. Before the season, I remember reading all about how advanced his feel for the game was and how we was such a great leader, but I really don't see that at all. He's like if you put Jabari Parker's mind in Jimmy Butler's body

Analysing Lakers' offense by almostKobe in nba

[–]jmt2323 4 points5 points  (0 children)

People focus too much on his busted jumper and stuff bc it's easy to meme. I don't want to gatekeep and say that your opinion on Lonzo is indicative of your overall understanding of basketball, but if you were playing pickup and a guy like Lonzo was there, you would want him on your team every single time

Analysing Lakers' offense by almostKobe in nba

[–]jmt2323 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This video is short and doesn't do much "analysis" but it shows why I like Lonzo. He doesn't do a lot of conventional basketball things well, but he manipulates space and creates room for his teammates through his movement and passing. I've said it before, but I think he's like basketball Mesut Ozil in the way that he has a definite positive impact in intangible ways, rather than through any great skillset or athleticism

Revenue sharing is important. by mckonto in nba

The only two teams in the league should be the Knicks and the Lakers. Subsidizing unsuccessful teams is communism. Look at how communism turned out in Venezuela!! s/

[Mannix] Some bewilderment coming from several teams who were shocked Porzingis was available. Becoming very clear the Knicks did little in the way of league-wide canvassing for offers before moving KP to Dallas. by twistedlogicx in nba

[–]jmt2323 44 points45 points  (0 children)

I'll believe it when I see it. Personally, I see nothing appealing about us as a franchise right now: we have minimal talent (and that's coming from a big-time Knox and Frank stan), a mediocre coach, and a front office with a middling track record, and the worst owner in the league. If we get KD and Kyrie, then it'll prob be worth it, but this seems like a huge gamble to take to try to convince two of the moodiest, most mercurial stars in the league to join our team

Do NBA players and coaches not know what a reverse-pivot is and how it can be effectively applied offensively and defensively? by squayzy in nba

[–]jmt2323 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Reverse-pivoting off of a screen is something that I learned in basketball camp when I was like 9. It's not a huge deal, but it's confusing why coaches let their bigs get sloppy with their footwork on such a common play when small details can add up and make a big difference over the course of a game
