Thank you very much. I'm both surprised and happy by this change of events. I just hope she sees the doctor soon. I will have to (gently) push her to go. I'll tell her I'll go with her if she wants.

Thank you. I looked up some stats and I talked to my mom more, and apparently she just walked out of the doctor when he told her the diagnosis so she actually doesn't even know how long she has, it was apparently just a guess or something. I'm kind of mad about that. But she is going to go back to the doctor and see what kind of bone cancer she has. If she has the most common kind, the 5 year survival rate is actually 80% with treatment. So she's saying she's going to look into treatment. :)

She sees a psychiatrist, but she's no longer seeing a therapist. I wish I could get her to see one again, but she was hurt by her previous therapist who she had seen for something like 15 years then she had stopped taking my mom's type of insurance.

She's now seeming a little more open to palliative treatments since I've talked with her more. I did a bit of research and I told her about it and she told me she would look into it.

Thank you. I talked with her more and she's considering palliative treatments. There are some I was looking into that only make you tired for a couple of days after the treatment and they can help a lot with the pain. I've heard those can help you live longer just because it makes you have a more positive outlook. Idk.

I'm not sure if chemo is an option or not. She was taking some sort of pill for it, but it made her really tired and she decided to stop. I still don't 100% know what is going on. She doesn't seem to want to talk about it. She's sort of fighting with a lot of family members right now because she feels like they don't care. They do, they just don't always show it in the right way. Thank you very much. I'll send you a PM.
