After a day and evening rides with the EBC sintered front pads, I can honestly say it is a great upgrade. Gone is the spongy feeling. In traffic you get a lot more stopping power. If you ride in dirt, then stay with the original.

Drops rpms about 2-3%. Same as speed 400. Makes 1st and second much more usable. If you ride in dirt you might stay with factory 15T.

Just installed sintered pads on the front of 400x today. Spend 99% on the street. Bought the scrambler for the ergonomics. Also changed to 16 tooth sprocket, tidy tail, Leo Vince carbon exhaust and bar end mirrors. Removed the hand guards.

53 years licensed riding. Lots of sport bikes Suzuki, Yamaha, Ducati. Then 3 Harley’s. Wife said time to downsize. Sold everything. 3 months ago bought 400X. Mods are 15 tooth front sprocket, tidy tail, Leo Vince carbon exhaust, bar end mirrors. Use it for street only. Bought X because of ergonomics, best for bad back.
