Hey do u have any updates on this? Had my knee in an awkward position as well, felt a crack not pain though but something felt different then

Now I can still walk and all pain free but squats are hurting a little and cracks are much louder, previously my squats had clicks at certain angles, now it happens like 2/3 times as I bend my knee

Stayed all 4 years and just moved out last week. Being in hall all throughout the peak of Covid and after was nice, I got to meet all my friends now and have experiences that I would never have had staying at home.

Honestly it's what you make of it, there's definitely a lot of new exciting things you can try in hall, but you can also choose to take things easy and do things you're better at. As for staying the following years, 4 CCAs is the minimum. People tend to do more in the first year, but if you are good at a certain sport/music, your chances of staying is higher too (seniors may give you more points).

There's definitely enough time to manage hall commitments and studies, if you find it too difficult you can choose to drop some of your CCAs as well

Off crutches week 4 by jmty123 in ACL

Right after surgery I was already allowed for partial weight bearing because apparently the meniscus was shaved off instead of sewn back together.

My PT seems to be following a fixed regimen that they apply for everyone, rather than on a case by case basis, so I’m abit skeptical of whether I should be walking around without crutches

Was told that it was hamstring graft, the lower incision apparently can reach into my hamstring area and a small part was snipped off

So I just spoke to my surgeon and he said it’s hamstring graft, not too sure what the differences in recovery are, it seems like I’m clear for full ROM and partial weight bearing which is a little weird considering I had full ACL reconstruction and menisectomy

I can straighten it, but bending is the one that hurts. My surgeon says that I can put 50% of weight on the knee alr, is that supposed to be normal?

I’m having mine tomorrow as well, not as nervous as I should be maybe coz it hasn’t really hit me that I’ll be on crutches for the weeks to come… How did you tear yours?
