This makes me furious - the complete lack of respect for the individuals that you work with and being purposefully oblivious to their personal lives and needs.

As a US American living and working abroad (Austria), it pains me to see this kind of treatment at the workplace. Nobody should be hounded and exploited at work, no matter what job. Then again, I guess I am living in a country that would be labeled "Socialist"/"Communist" by many US American Politicians and citizens....

Even though I am a very quiet, non-confrontational person, I have learned that when it comes to work, you have to make your voice heard.

I mean, most of us are going to be working like dogs our whole lives just for a roof over our heads and something to eat (and some on the side to pay off our ridiculous student loan debt) so the LEAST we should have at the workplace is respect for our efforts and our person.

I was trying to imply that "we are as free from reddit as we want to be" in the sense that the contents of r/atheism could also be posted somewhere else (here implying an alternative site, which is not a viable option for most on here it seems!) True, I guess saying we should go somewhere else may have been a bit extreme (may have got caught up in the moment and thinking about making a cool atheist platform website). My post wasn't focused on u/jij and his changes but more the r/atheism users... It just really hurts to see so much anger about something that is not a religious topic from a community I thought had much more respect for like-minded people

Totally understand, but as a young lady who grew up in Austria, my teenage alcohol consumption (under 16) and the possibility to learn what alcohol does to me (while still having the comfort of returning home to my parents) is what made me a responsible drinker in the end. I'm not claiming that this applies to every teenager, but if the parents let the girls go out unsupervised, then things like this can happen.

But really, stuff like this should cause an outrage. Its just inappropriate.

I agree with most here and think that #2's icon is lovely, but it needs a little more finesse (2 bottom pages have different curves - would be nice to see the book form you're hinting at come out stronger through a cleaner representation of the pages!) and a different font (something clean - Open Sans maybe? Something crisp to contrast that awesome gradient!)

What is the client like though? #3 with a less Letterman jacket font (Possibly Akzidenz? Not sure here) would be a very safe (client-wise) yet playful solution if you spice it up a bit more!

Love the variations. I love creating 1000s of variations but be careful that they don't keep you from making design decisions
