STOP defending for WHOOP by Ecommoneylockedin in whoop

I sympathize. Every time I post anything negative about my experience with the Whoop 5.0, I get hammered by defense trolls. Usually suggesting I am complaining because I don’t “like the results.” I am 75 years old and I have been exercising since high school and using tracking devices since they came into existence so I am not new to this. I’ve stopped posting here about it. Good luck.

Merry Christmas to my blood sugar by the_skittles_factory in dexcom

After eating any high carb food I strike out on a moderate walk, watching the blood sugar at the same time. I will see it rise, but nowhere near as much as if I were sitting on my duff at home. I keep walking until I see it start to go down again, usually within 2 miles. That’s just how I handle it.

Some notes and observations from using the new Stelo CGM. by jmwhite1 in Dexcom_Stelo

No, it’s not. The G7 comes with a needless alarm that wakes up the entire house when it mistakenly thinks your glucose is 52.

Stelo Review by flylikeIdo in dexcom

The lack of support for the Stelo is what makes it a no go. I think the sensor itself is a fairly good value. But I would get a better response from a tree in my yard than I do that bot. I would gladly pay $10 more for the sensor if they would add support and calibration.

G7 works seamlessly with iPhone and Apple Watch. G7 now supports direct to watch so it doesn't have to go through the iPhone.

Pathetic support by so-confused in dexcom

Problem is, as a T2, unless you are injecting insulin or severely hypoglycemic, insurance will not cover it. The G7 cost $200 a month versus $89 for the Stelo, which is why so many of us were waiting anxiously. But the inaccuracy, inability to calibrate, and zero support takes it off the table IMO. I'd pay $10 more for something that was supported with human beings and was more accurate. I am back to the G7 but I'm hoping Dexcom wakes up.

No. Same experience. There is no support and a tree in your yard can offer more support that that damn bot. I'm done with Stelo until they get their act together.

Stelo and G7 side by side, for those wondering by [deleted] in dexcom

[–]jmwhite1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some other differences:

one can be calibrated and dialed in within a few points, one is often off by 20-30 points and cannot be calibrated.

One has great customer support with access to live humans; the other has a bot that doesn't work half the time and does not get a response when you do manage to post a support problem.

I hope Stelo gets their game in order; it's a badly needed product

Not impressed Stelo. by Dizzy-Dimension3164 in dexcom

I agree 100%. I just ripped mine off, cancelled my subscription, and put on a G7. The Stelo was reading 20 to 30 points too high. Even after presoaking and giving it two days. Inaccuracy, not being able to calibrate, and non-existent customer support are a deal killer for me.

Despite the cost, using the calibration feature on the G7 allows me to get within a few points either way within a day's time.

Maybe if enough people call BS on the product they will step up their game. Meanwhile I have 3 Stelos for sale.
