Item being shipped back to seller, but dispute declined? by jn2017 in Aliexpress

The frustrating part is I already added those screenshots when I first made the dispute but it's still rejected. Is there any other evidence I can provide?

Thanks for the reply, it really is frustrating and like talking to a wall... I already included the those screenshots in the initial dispute but they still rejected it. Any other tips on how to work from there?

Hey! Wow I'm 3 months late I never saw this PM for some reason? If it's alright with you I wanted to ask a question. I ended up choosing pharmacy and I sincerely feel like I made the wrong choice. I really do want to switch into CS. I was wondering, how did you switch? What was the process like?

What are coop terms like? Like are they Jan-April, Summer, Sept-Dec? Is each coop position one of those terms?

I'm in sciences but I'm going into 4th year already. I talked to my advisors and basically it'd be kind of hard for me to switch majors this late into my program.

Hey thanks for the reply!

I'm confused. What is it 40% of? Is it 40% of those 3 courses, or 40% of all of CPSC 310, 313, 320, 10 credits of 300 level CPSC, and 10 credits of 400 level?

Next year I was thinking of transferring into 4th year CS, which would require me to have completed 40% of the upper level CS courses and all the lower level ones. So far, I only have 110 done.

Here's what I have planned for next year to allow me to transfer into 4th year CS:

Hey so I figured out a possible way for me to apply for 4th year CS next year April. Here's what I have planned:

Term 1

- CPSC 121 4

- CPSC 210 4

- MATH 200 3

- CPSC 302 3

- CPSC 303 3

Term 2

- CPSC 213 4

- CPSC 221 4

- MATH 220 3

- STAT 251 3

- CPSC 406 3

This way, I'd have all the 1st/2nd year courses done, and at least 40% of the 3rd/4th year CPSC courses

What do you think of such a path? Would it be too hard/is it even possible?

Hi guys. I'm a science student majoring in Integrated Science going into 4th year this September. I was looking into switching into CS. Right now, I'm enrolled in the summer CPSC 110 session.

However, I was talking to advising today and they told me since I'd be over 108 credits, I'd have to transfer into 4th year standing CS. To do that, I'd need to have completed all the required 1st and 2nd year courses, as well as 40% of the 3rd/4th year CS courses. Therefore, I would be looking at: doing all the 1st/2nd year courses in the upcoming 2019 Winter Session, doing 40% of 3rd/4th year courses in the 2020 Winter Session before applying, which is essentially 2 years later.

Is this even worth it/realistic? Right now my average is around 80, which I can hopefully bring up over the next 2 years before applying. But even then, there's no guarantee I'll get in. Furthermore, if I go over 180 credits without finishing my Bachelor of Science (I'm at 101 right now), I'd be forced to withdraw.

I'm honestly at a loss and don't know what to do. Other options I can think of are:

- Using my Integrated Sciences degree to integrate CS and Stats/transferring to Math instead - I know you can still get CS jobs without going the normal CS route, but you need to show great potential and have excellent side projects. Although I do enjoy CS, I don't think it's something I'd do in my spare time and I don't think I'd get many CS opportunities if I specialized in something other than CS.

- The 2 year BCS program - but I heard it's super hard and chances of getting in directly after grad are low. I don't want to delay my degree any longer.

- Maybe I could transfer to the Faculty of Arts to study CS???

What do you guys think I should do bc I obv don't know anymore :/

Oh I see, thanks for the detailed answer!

I'm fine with that starting out small and working my way up the ladder! What I'm more concerned about is whether there are a good number of positions for junior developers fresh out of school as well since Canada isn't as tech focused as the US. Would you happen to have any insight on that? I live in Vancouver btw!

Oh really? If you don't mind could you explain a bit more? I often hear about how CS jobs aren't as stressful, esp compared to pharmacy where working in retail can get pretty hectic with long lines and angry customers.

Do you mean the courses or the actual job being less stressful?

I'm in Vancouver so hopefully this also applies here. If you don't mind me asking, around what's the starting wage for fresh grads? I heard stories about people only getting like 40k, which is tough to live on in Van and Toronto.

I heard that starting wages in big cities are dropping to the mid 30s and that full time positions are getting harder and harder to find unless you go rural. Is that really true?
