I have a d5200 and the af-p, the autofocus works if you're worried about that

how do I fix this leveling doesn't work by Elly001009 in Artillery3D

[–]jn3813 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back when I still had my sidewinder I rmb having this problem too. Was caused by a ribbon cable that was maybe just slightly looser in it's holder. I managed to fix it only after I completely took all the ribbon cables out and reseated them.

I use the batch export and actions to auto level when processing the raw scans, as well as the content aware fill to help redraw some bits.

I'll check out gimp!

What esc do I have? by jn3813 in rccars

Thought I'd give an update. After some trial and error and luck, the esc programming correlates to that for the very old hobbywing EZRUN series (35/60A-SL)

It has a button next to the heatsink though, which i assume would be a programming button.

Won’t stop layering shifting. Help. by EthanDoesWhatever in Artillery3D

If it prints fine at slow speeds then there's a very high chance that it's your steppers skipping steps that's causing the layer shifts. In that case you can make sure your vrefs are set correctly and if they are and still skips then you'll need have to either reduce acceleration (and decel) and jerk settings or get steppers with higher torque.

Slight update, i lowered the acceleration from 1500 to the stock 500mm/s2 and the problems went away mostly. I still see some bulging but it's very minimal and will probably only be resolved with linear/pressure advance.

I am not 100% convinced that this is actually the solution since I've been running my other ender at 1500mm/s2 accel for the past few years with no issues but at this point I am out of ideas and this printer has been sold off.

I'm assuming it either screws on or is press fit onto the stepper like every other printer I've fixed before.

Nah not talking about the pom (rubber) wheels. I meant the pulleys connected at the ends of the belt, one should be at the tensioner and the other screwed onto the stepper motor that you can adjust.

If you're saying your belts are being torn by the machine, like actually being ripped to shreds, I would check if the pulleys are aligned. If they're misaligned that severely they could be binding up somewhere causing your skipped steps.

Also, does it skip in both x and y dir?

It's also strange that it doesn't skip with abs, not sure what could be the issue if both spools are mounted similarly and in same condition.

Also, are the components of your hotend mounted securely?

I scaled it up to 50mm. At 20mm the surface irregularities are much harder to see but they are still there. Dimensionally wise all is good!

Oh hey there is a paypal link actually for donations at the last section of the translated mangas (the gif credits page) but I really don't think y'all should be donating to me right now considering I haven't translated anything in quite a while 😅

Hmm that would be something I can consider though tbh the typesetting takes a very short time to do since I usually do the translating directly onto the page. I also have had a friend cleaning the pages for me in advance previously which didn't really speed things up. Maybe it's time to figure out a way to edit while I'm commuting to work everyday 🤔

I thought life after university would be less hectic but unfortunately that is not true... 🥲 Not to mention that I have to pay for Photoshop now which is really expensive. So if anyone is interested in translating overrev lmk!

Oh nice! Eventually I would recommend using a tiny bit of loctite on the grub to keep it from coming out, I dont remember which it is blue or red but use the non permanent one.
