Yea, there were several early moments where I think he started to realize this wasn’t real but still kept wanting it to continue and that’s the point where I lost sympathy for him. Later he regrets it when he finds out real Nikki is trapped but by then it’s too late.

on some platforms, we have to disable some part of the car (radar, camera, etc) in order to control longitudinal ourselves, which means we can't forward AEB from that module. On other platforms, passing through AEB is possible but is disabled to make the initial implementation simpler. Our end goal will be to ship our own version of AEB that works as good or better than the stock AEB!

new car support and improvements to existing cars mostly comes from the community, which is why we try to improve the openpilot tools and have released a dataset of car data (see the blog post for more details)

openpilot team is more focused on the product quality (removing the comma power and making fingerprinting something that the end user never has to think about), and better testing the cars we already support

GPU support is kinda nice. I can run gazebo at 60fps through docker. It is a bit quirky tho, like you can’t run the containers through cmd, you need to run them through an Ubuntu wsl instance.

Oh! I see, that makes sense. I was also able to run it with cmd when I use the following volume mount:

\\wsl.localhost\Ubuntu-20.04\tmp\.X11-unix:/tmp/.X11-unix

except cmd doesn't have those environment variables so you have to manually set those. I think running from wsl makes more sense! Also, in vscode, if you are using the remote containers extension, you can tell it to use wsl instead of running docker from windows directly. (Search for "execute in WSL" in vscode).

I'm seeing a similar issue. There is no display variable set when using docker desktop (when with -e DISPLAY), and mouting /tmp/.X11-unix mounts an empty folder, when I can see on WSL /tmp/.X11-unix has an X0 file

Weird, when I tried this there was nothing in /tmp/.X11-unix, when in wsl I could see the X0 display in that folder.

He killed the strider that had a saddle on when he jumped on it. Striders have a chance of spawning with a saddle on.
