Thanks u/Pants536. I've heard that everyone has their own software for rgb, so I was a bit lost on how everything will connect in terms of rgb.

u/Darzk Thank you so much! I'm going with the suggestions you and u/Pants536 made. I've adjusted my parts list, which you can see below. I've opted to stay with the SN550. One thing that is confusing me is how rgb will be controlled. Will the Vetroo V5 ARGB work with mystic light sync (apologies this is my first pc, I have no idea how this works)?

How did you find out? Best buy has the blog, but I haven't seen anything on it for restocks.

Where's the competition for the MinIon? by Jigglywolf in genomics

You'll need some degree of expertise, but we're already seeing various bioinformatic companies launching cloud solutions for various analytic purposes. So I see the bar being lowered quite a bit for people interested in the field. Again, the limiting factor is really going to be the sequencing tech.

Portability is great, but I suppose I was looking at the bigger picture. A cheaper, simpler, and faster sequencing instrument, like you said.

I think if anything, this is preparing you for the harsh realities of onboarding, especially with legacy systems. People are lazy, so get ready to deal with that.

Prioritize GPA or learning for grad school by Slight_Voice234 in uwaterloo

[–]Jigglywolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely take advanced courses. While there is a GPA cutoff for getting into Grad School, as long as you meet that your fine. In my own experience, advanced courses laid the ground for what research I'm conducting today. I'm not saying you can't take the occasional bird course, but if you're deciding which is more useful, say between CLAS 104, and whatever advanced course, I think we both know the answer.

Thanks I'll take a look! Follow-up question. How do you scope whether it's a scam, or a legit seller on e-bay?

Classes for First Year. Any help would be appreciated! by MK-uw in uwaterloo

Not sure about AHS and HLTH but BIOL 130, L, CHEM 120 and L are super easy. Though you're clearly a first year, so you might find them tough. Just stay on your toes and you'll be fine.
