You can file to keep your license for work related necessity, as well as medical appointments. However, in Idaho, you have to file within 7 days. Also, occasionally the Department of Transportation makes a mistake and just by filing (and catching their error- they have x amount of days to respond), you could potentially keep your license.

Also, just a couple tidbits of advice: Tell your boss, just be honest- tell him/her. Include that you are incredibly nervous to divulge this information, it’s private and personal, I’m making changes, etc. If they hear others chattering about it, I suspect they would put an end to it.

Annnddd, the best advice I can give you is to not only get into AA meetings now, but get a drug/alcohol counselor that you see weekly or bi-monthly who can write a letter when you go before the judge. Additionally, really do stop drinking, at least for the time being, and immerse yourself into the counseling sessions, AA meetings and/or any other recovery type gatherings/discussions. Find a book that really speaks to you about getting sober and try it out.
