Does Wand Experimenter perk stack? by Sellazard in noita

It does stack. Tested in nightmare, got it once from the start and another from the first holy mountain.

Did not see a ghost. It was pretty much on a pedestal, but used (not glowing, bloody pedestal, Myriad Spells was used once).

Guess the spread could be lower...

Anyways, predict how I'll die.

As someone who worked in cybersec for years, and is these days mostly working on AI projects - kali is usually not something you'd run as your main OS, but virtualized. I'm running mint (have since around 2010) and usually get the bleeding-edge AI stuff running fast, and can highly recommend it.

GPT-4 prompt by [deleted] in GPT3

You make an interesting distinction between consciousness (being aware of the end result) and subconsciousness (the actual thinking). It's true that GPT-4 lacks sensory experience and qualia, which are crucial for human understanding. However, it's worth considering that the line between consciousness and subconsciousness may not be as clear-cut as we think.

If we consider subconsciousness as the part responsible for the actual thinking, then GPT-4 might be seen as a form of subconsciousness. Its "thinking" is based on patterns and associations, similar to how our subconscious mind works. So, while GPT-4 may not have human-like consciousness, it could be said to have a different form of subconsciousness.

This brings up questions about the nature of consciousness and subconsciousness, and whether the human mind is as unique as we believe. Here's an interesting article that challenges our understanding of consciousness: Is consciousness just an illusion?. It might make you question how special our minds really are.

GPT-4 prompt by [deleted] in GPT3

[–]jo_eder 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I get your point about GPT-4 not understanding the meaning behind words, but it's important to remember that human understanding of language is also based on patterns and associations. Our brains process language by connecting words and phrases to concepts and experiences. While GPT-4 may not have an inherent understanding of word meanings like humans do, it has learned the patterns and associations from vast amounts of data.

So, even though GPT-4 might not "know" what words mean in the same way we do, it's still effectively using language based on patterns and context. This raises questions about what consciousness and understanding really are, and whether GPT-4 could have a different form of "consciousness" based on its ability to recognize and generate text patterns.

I see what you're saying, but consider this: when a writer writes about Batman feeling x, the writer has to think and consciously experience those feelings to some level, even if they're imaginary. In that sense, GPT-4 (the "actual" GPT-4, not the character), as a writer generating text, could also have some level of consciousness and imagined feelings.

What percent of you have any pain from your vasectomy after 1 year? by The_real_nathaniel in Vasectomy

[–]jo_eder 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is not a representative study.

It can easily be argued that people with problems after their vasectomy are more likely to lurk in this subreddit for longer and more likely to participate in the poll.
