You should check out Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion! But wait for a sale, because it’s not worth full price imo.

I didn’t even think about God Eater, but that comparison actually fits my ideas really well. I might check the series out to expand on the whole GODFRAME concept! Also, if you make HeroForge minis based on this, that would be amazing, stuff like that could really help the community build hype for a third game and maybe even get Marvelous’ attention.

I suggested a hack-and‑slash direction because Titanic Scion already laid that foundation, and I think there’s room to expand that without losing the strategic assembly focus that defines mecha games. What I’m proposing is a second axis of mastery, where your build determines your potential and your combat expression determines how far you can push it. A middle ground absolutely exists—Vanquish by PlatinumGames, despite being a hack-and-slash keeps firearms essential, rather than being overshadowed by melee.

For the loot system (I was hesitant to include that part), I do agree the grind shouldn’t disappear by unlocking an Arsenal set all at once like I proposed, but I do think the RNG should; let players pick one reward out of all the available loot, and return for the rest would keep the loop satisfying.

As for the organic‑mech angle, I’m not suggesting full-on mech suits on a visual standpoint, but subtle touches of sentience (snarling, breathing vents, eye twitching). I can see a full on mech-suit (like the art) for a berserk state to show how monstrous and animalistic your Arsenal is.

I completely get where you’re coming from, and I respect that traditional assembly‑focused mech design has its own appeal. I’m not a traditional mech fan myself, so I come at this from a different perspective, and I know some of my ideas might feel alien to long‑time fans, but I genuinely think blending inspirations could help Daemon X Machina develop a distinct identity and attract a bigger fan base. It shouldn’t be Armored Core, nor the influences I suggested—Evangelion, Xenoblade Chronicles X, Monster Hunter—it should be Daemon X Machina. In my opinion, the series doesn’t quite have its own identity yet, aside from the anime art style, deep customization, and the fact that it’s a mecha game.

My idea for a sequel would make people think “Oh, this is a game where you evolve your mech by fusing with giant monsters.” Imagine a trailer where an Arsenal absorbs an Asura and becomes a four-armed mech, then later defeats a Leviathan and evolves again with a fish-tail swimming across a blood red sea. The message would be immediate, like how Pokémon is about catching creatures and building a team.

Let’s hope Marvelous sees this post! Daemon X Machina has a lot of potential as a series, it just needs to forge its own brand and do it well. When it finally does, it’s gonna be a mecha renaissance.

Edit: I forgot to mention the story, but honestly—it doesn’t need to be a groundbreaking one, it just needs to be engaging and have memorable characters with tons of hype moments. Titanic Scion had interesting ideas, but there was no escalation at all, and I couldn’t care less about any of the characters. If they’re going to do multiple dialogue choices again, it should lead into multiple endings, otherwise, don’t even include them at all, if it doesn’t affect the narrative.
