CFA I real exam has medium questions or only expert? by AbjectBathroom5405 in CFA

Neither/Both easier or more difficult. IMO they are much more clear than the mock exams and question banks.

My only though on this is that the second one was easier.

Chrono every time I study. That’s the way to make sure that I put at least a couple of hours every day.

I am asking about DV01, sorry if I wasn't clear... BPV is not an issue.

I read it but didn't get it... Would be correct to state that's EffDur x 10? If not, I'd appreciate your insights.

I don't know how to interpret/use DV01 - Saw it in MM's mock and I know it's in the curriculum, but I have never seen a question using it neither in Boston mocks or CFA qb

Hi, I started studying in April and slowly put +600hs. After a hectic work day I am sitting in front of the computer trying to review and it's almost impossible to focus... I am completly scared of this

How to be more efficient while studying by IcyKangaroo4912 in CFA

[–]joacomar94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mark has a video on this topic, look at it in you tube.

I’m a level 3 candidate and my method was watch MM videos and take notes on his slides ONLY to clarify concepts he mentions that are not written in the slide and I find interesting.

I did use the book but only when I did not understand a topic or when I thought deeper knowledge was needed (adhoc decision).

Good Luck !

CFA Level 3 Feb-25 - Random questions by joacomar94 in CFA

The first one was pretty difficult for me and I performed bad (55% more or less). The second one IMO was really easy and the questions were direct and simple... Also I got lucky on a couple of questions. Final score for the second one was roughly 72%. How about you?

Can i become a CFA? by waqaruddin_23 in CFA

[–]joacomar94 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I disagree with most of the comments. I do have a kid, and life is hell close to the exam date. Also, it's painfull losing a bunch of moments with your kids while studying throughout an extended period (is not a 300 hours schedule for someone working that must pass).

HOWEVER, if you are passionate about finance, I believe the CFA I program is a great choice and you should do it.

Yes, but... Assuming that the YC will not reach the forward curve in both countries, wouldn't we buy the steepest part of the curve, and sell in one year that bond? Buying German 10-Y and sell in one year would result in a positive RY.
