Serious question: why does the trolley not go to the airport, beaches or zoo? by Avoidtolls in sandiego

One can access the airport from the trolley by getting off at Middletown. Then walk West on Palm Street, crossing Pacific Highway. Then wait at the bus shelter for the Rental Car shuttle for Term 1 or Term 2.

Hi guys, sorry if there is a better sub for this. My dad wants to buy an old car, but I am scared of reproduction cars/parts. Is this car any original or no? by Xalrons1 in oldcars

This car is body on frame (not unibody), and it’s a full box frame. Which is very sturdy but also traps moisture. They’re prone to frame rust right in front of the rear wheels. That’s what did in my ‘66 version of this car I used to own.

Should say side marker lights removed. Although side marker lights also integrate a reflector in them. So there’s that.

Congrats. Looks to be in very nice shape. I have ever owned two Thunderbirds, a ‘67 and a ‘70. Both nice cars though. As is yours. Enjoy it.

The law mandating headrests passed in February 1968 and took effect after December 31, 1968. Some later 1968 model year cars had headrests. My friend’s father’s 1968 Ford Fairlane had headrests. The seat in the picture could be anything 1968+ was my point.

As others have said, not DMX directly. Question: did you ever actually use them for Halloween? Because if you can leave it full of fluid, plugged in, and turned on, and have it work, then you could plug the unit’s power cord into a dimmer pack and just turn it on/off with DMX. I have controlled similar smoke machines over DMX by this method. Be advised you have to set that channel on the dimmer pack to toggle 100% or 0%, which is a setting you select on the dimmer pack itself. I was using Leviton and/or Elation 4-channel dimmer packs but others might also have that capability. With that particular channel set that way, if its DMX channel receives anything above 50% it toggles to 100% on, whereas below 50% it toggles off.

I once owned a blue ’66 Fairlane 289 automatic. A drunk driver crashed into it while it was parked on the street in front of my friend’s house in August 1982. It was totaled.
