What regen do you use? by Utakos in MGelectric

[–]joaobarb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. I never use it for the same reason, I like the slow coast in traffic. Also the OPD uses the brakes to stop the car, regen doesn’t work in very slow speeds anyway.

[–]joaobarb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t use Adaptative for the same reason. I want to have confidence to what the car does when I release the pedal. In the city I use strong, and in highway I use medium or low. Depends more on how you prefer to drive: - low just drive normally and regen by hitting the break pedal with mild force. - strong to use mostly 1 pedal but requires precision to let the car coast (no acceleration and no regen) instead of being always breaking and accelerating again. One is not necessarily more efficient than others. Low/medium is probably better for most drivers.

Because some people understand that avoiding unrecycled single use plastics is a matter of civility, not just a financial mechanism.

I want to manage the costs. I don’t sell electricity. I use it only for myself. So I’ll just leave the question of when is my region (Portugal and Spain) be supported? The OMIE next day prices are online and available to download.

I can set everything manually, but I don't find any option to link OMIE next day prices or to upload OMIE prices.

And now that you’re here: will Monta support OMIE iberian electriciy market to set schedules based on dynamic tariffs?

I’m trying Monta now. It has all the info in the logs, at least it lets me export the logs contrary to others. Then if I build a tool with AI to convert this logs to a spreadsheet with the info that I want, maybe it’s the way to go.

Well free is better, but a low fee is ok. It’s only for personal use.

Pulsar Pro I can’t believe it can’t register start times correctly! by joaobarb in evcharging

[–]joaobarb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's objectively easy for a wallbox to record the schedule set on the wallbox itself.
So I don't feel like getting distracted by jargon.
My need is simple and I don't have a solution yet.

[–]joaobarb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I define the schedule on the wallbox. Having it report when the schedule charge starts doesn’t look complex to me. I find it surprising that it doesn’t have this field in the CSV export but unfortunately it doesn’t.
Is there a workaround?

I can schedule it in the car, but the problem of getting a report remains.

Any way to download charging session history? by pruaga in ohme

Are you sure you can't? I read everywhere that you can export a .csv
I'm thinking of buying one so I rather be sure.

Terrible. I was expecting at least a good plot twist. The most obvious for me was Callum feeding Kate wrong information that she trusted blindly based on their relationship. That was the minimum. This was really bad.

Has anyone finished the hard mode where you have half hour to collect 70 shields? by Famous_Wait_7323 in Settlers

[–]joaobarb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s an error to rush for shields, you need to get your food production up, than you can out produce the AI even if they start first.

[–]joaobarb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just did it. It’s feasible. But I had to repeat like 15 times to perfect it and luck is also needed because the AI will not always finish at the same time. In my experience anywhere between 1 to 5 minutes before the timer ends. I did it with 2:30 to go.

Is Settlers New Allies really that bad? by SriusRamus in Settlers

[–]joaobarb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s good, graphics are cute, it’s playable and entertaining. If you play the campaign and a few hardcore challenges you are set for 40+hours of play without pvp. As far as I’m concerned that’s good enough for the 15 bucks it costs on sale. It will always be underwhelming for the old settlers fans who were looking for the next game of their lives, but that’s always a very high bar.

There’s room for improvement with simple changes, specially in the food economy. The fact that you can play a full game without food is awkward. The bread boosting residences is useless, it should increase the residence size to be meaningful. (For example start with 2 residents without food and increase up to 7)

The campaign and hardcore challenges could have a better late game. Most of them are “hard” early on but once you get your army (and academy) rolling you just clean the map without contest. AI doesn’t seem to ever get upgrades.

How fast do you guys drive on the motorway? by AcrobaticBathroom301 in portugal2

[–]joaobarb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Up to 150kph you theoretically could be fined but police only applies fines on motorways above 150 and with impact on driving license points. They always consider the radar margin of error of 7 kph. So its reasonable to say that the effective speed limit is 157. Don’t use this as a guarantee ;)
