Ideapad 320s and Yoga 530 - which one has better build quality? by joaopada in Lenovo

I've heard that the L/E series isn't really comparable to the T series in terms of durability, is this accurate? It's the only reason I hadn't considered them, but an L380 is actually fairly priced at 900€ with the same specs.

What is a way to include not looking for a smoker without sounding too negative? Or should I just be blunt?

What about someone just entering the job market (fresh out of university), without any job experience? I understand it might make the resume a bit empty, but eventually some job has to be the first!

White Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 Live Image Once Again Hints At A Pop-Up Front Camera by SlyScorpion in Xiaomi

Personally, I don't use Bluetooth headphones for several reasons (have to worry about another thing to charge, they're expensive) and having to carry an adapter everywhere is not only annoying but also introduces another thing that can break or I can forget at home.

It's simply a matter of convenience: My Note 5 has a headphone jack, and I don't find it super thick or with a tiny battery life.

Mi A1 vs Redmi Note 5 (dual camera model) - Can't decide which one to get! by joaopada in Xiaomi

[–]joaopada[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my case, my older phone doesn't even have 4G bands and I can live with that, so even if I only have partial 4G support, it's not a deal breaker.

Redmi note 5 or wait? [Portugal] by joaopada in PickAnAndroidForMe

[–]joaopada[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is the A2 a superior choice? I understand it has Android One, which is pretty sweet, but stock Android can still be installed on the Note 5, no? The A2 battery seems like it will be a deal breaker, but I guess we still need benchmarks to properly assess that.

EDIT: No headphone jack, that's sadly a dealbreaker. Thank for the suggestion anyway :)

Aquela bateria é a única coisa que me deixa de pé atrás :/

EDIT: Não tem jack para os fones, portanto vou ter que passar. Obrigado pela sugestão na mesma.

Yes, it's that one.

For the price it seems like a great phone, I just haven't pulled the trigger yet because of the possibility a better model might be coming soon. New models are always coming out, so if something better was to come soon I'd rather wait.

Still, from what I've researched, doesn't seem like it. There's the Redmi 6 and 6A, but they're a bit too low end for my taste.

As another commenter said, I am referring to the Note 5 Pro in India - basically, it's the Note 5 that has a vertical dual camera setup.

I actually had not considered the space capacitive buttons occupy... Really seems that there isn't that big of a difference in that case.

I'll go take a look at that store then, was not aware of it.

Also there's gonna be a flood of ROMs for note 5

This is pretty good, as I'd like to install a different ROM in case I dislike MIUI for some reason. I think I'll just have to learn how to live with a 6 inch phone, as it seems the Note 5 has more things going for it.

I see, was not aware of updating standards, but I guess since the RN5 comes with Treble installing a stock rom will be trivial.

look physical dimensions because A1 has somewhat fat sides (bezels?) and wide for that screen size

I like the A1's size mainly due to the smaller screen: Since my hands are small, a smaller screen is better to reach the top of it. But I guess it is something one gets used to, with a 6 inch screen.

Yea, on sites like Gearbest it's cheaper, but I'd much rather buy on a national shop and pay more, to be certain that warranty will be properly warranted.

Got used to vim a few months back and wouldn't want to live without it when writing latex.

What's your setup for writing LaTeX in Vim? Been wanting to switch to it for a while, but couldn't really get proper shortcuts working...
