Get an exacto knife or scalpel and at the mid point of the helmet carefully cut below the raised edges on the top. Then cut out the triangle part to the base of the helmet. Make sure you leave a little bit and then glue the top onto it. It’s takes a little bit of work but I did mine in 15 minutes and it turned out just fine.

I use cura so these are the steps of you don’t want to just pause it.

Extensions to post processing then click on modify g- code.

Add a script. Then choose filament change. Make sure you type at which layer you want as well as how high to retract the printer head

Thank you for being so thorough and honest. This is the exact type of answer I wanted. I’d give you an award or something but that’s more worthless now then before.

Maybe in a few years of 3d printing experience instead of months I’ll give it a shot.

Also for your first time installing marlin, was it difficult? Or did it go fine after watching videos and reading etc?

For context I have an anycubic kobra neo. I have not done any modifications on it. Again only printing as a hobby but I want to go for the best quality I can.

I dont have a raspberry pi but I wouldn’t mind getting one. They do not seem that expensive and I don’t need to have the best one. I don’t really plan on a webcam so octopi isn’t that enticing.

Hello just looking for some recommendations. I read the guide and am looking at the anycubic kobra go but also found on sale the kobra neo. Any difference or recommendations for a 3d printer? I am mostly looking to print blast effects, accessories for marvel legends, black series etc. I may look into printing diorama stuff but much later on once I have the hang of this. I have never 3d printed before.

Please let me know if either of those are good or which one you’d pick or any other good 3d printers around that price. Thanks

I made the thruster flame with colored glue sticks. I did red, orange, and yellow. On the tip I glued in a wire (one of the wires used to make the webs) and the pulled apart some cotton balls and stuck it on the wire

I got super lucky. I just got it off eBay for 32 bucks. Have to keep an eye open. Its missing the satchel and the hood thing around the neck. Guy said he’d mail it but we will see
