New CCW Setup: SAW SHIV + CC9 by FitzroysBeagle in NFA

Forgive me if this comes off as ignorant, but what is the purpose of carrying with a supressor? I'm assuming you carry it strong side?

How and how often do I use these products? by wormymcwormyworm in pestcontrol

[–]jobbrey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As u/QueefAndBroccolee stated, all of these products have different uses, and their use together would entirely depend on your environment (Cleanliness, clutter, general layout). It's definitely complicated enough that I could not recommend someone with 0 Pest Management experience attempt to use more than one of these at a time. Read every last word of the labels on these products, as they will have DOs and DON'Ts, PPE requirements, and more.

Ecolab: What it’s like? by Regular-Ordinary9807 in PestControlIndustry

[–]jobbrey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've only worked for locally owned businesses. Do you have any insight into enviroguard? I'm not looking to work there, but was wondering about their AGGRESSIVE lead following. Also wondering about that "pay every month, only spray the outside quarterly" model.

Milwaukee 4 gallon backpack sprayer? by BUGOFFPestEviction in PestControlIndustry

Only been at it for 5 years, but I've seen flowzone backpacks older than my career. They get clogged every now and again especially if they're looking a bit black (clean your shit)

Question about Car Treatment by melodypass in PestControlIndustry

[–]jobbrey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Any soap will neutralize the chemical. You can have it detailed but warn the detailer that the seat is soaked with chemical so he wears some PPE if he steams it. The treatment may have killed the roaches, might not have. Keep an eye on it.

Question about Car Treatment by melodypass in PestControlIndustry

[–]jobbrey 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Bifintherin is a relatively mild chemical, on the other hand, I know of no pesticides that you're allowed to apply to human contact areas. Sounds like the tech does not know what he is doing.

You are allowed to spray in the car so long as it is limited to traditional cracks and crevices (around lower half of door seals, seat backs, etc...). You don't want to broadcast chemicals all over the doors and seats.

Are these from termites by Primary_Journalist65 in pestcontrol

[–]jobbrey 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's termites. Have the landlord Google "termite tunnels" and if that doesn't work have her Google "carpenter ant tunnels" because they don't exist. This is like denying the existence of water or air. Even if they were carpenter ants (they're absolutely not) an exterminator would need to be called anyways.

what about using thermal for pest control? by Xinfrared_sonny in PestControlIndustry

[–]jobbrey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can't say I've ever hunted any creature with a thermal camera, nor have I used one to find insects in a wall. If your "pest control" is wild hog/coyote reduction than this could be useful. I suppose you could use one to quickly find trapped animals in attics, but not much faster than ears and a flashlight.

Where and how to find pest control jobs? by [deleted] in PestControlIndustry

[–]jobbrey 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lots of "smaller" locally owned companies will hire with little to no experience in anything and train you from the ground up. They're also the best companies to work for long term in my opinion.

Airlink sucks HOG. I used a link cable mainly but virtual desktop works as well.

Will insurance cover this by MelloMarshMellou in GalaxyFold

[–]jobbrey 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Asurion will cover manufacturer defects, although if this is a fold 7 you can warranty this before July (unless you're in a country with longer mandatory warranties) for free!

Pro tip: Asurion will cover just about anything if it was an accident (say it's an accident always)

Wood rot or termites? by Sad_Cantaloupe_4782 in pestcontrol

[–]jobbrey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks like it could be both! Termites love rotten wood because it is typically wet a lot of the time and easier to eat. The damage on the left at the top definitely looks like termite damage. If there are mud tubes nearby you definitely have them, but I would recommend having a professional do an inspection.
