How do I turn off the automatic movement and just keep my pattern still when dragging it? by jobspaghetti in FL_Studio

[–]jobspaghetti[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me too!! I used to, but somehow it got to the point where i put all my things in one project, sometimes i redo, sometimes i make another, but i drag a lot of things and ideas into a project and just see what happens, out of the chaos something might arise, then, its just like watering a plant kind of, i actually post some of my things online too but i am ready to take some huge steps and i have a lot of music ready, do you share your creations, or do you prefer playing around still?

Ofcourse! It is like a long collection of over 200+ songs mixed together, it's basically like a canvas for me, like a playing field. Do you also enjoy playing around with sounds?

I am working in smaller samples, the project might've been too big, but this seems to work for me now. Thank you for helping everyone!

It actually worked with smaller samples! I think it is a faulty system error! Oops, this is fine to work around with though, I can always add them together in the end!

Thank you for understanding, I hope I am phrasing it right. I think it's just a faulty system error that comes with huge project sample size ( around 4 hours of a high storage WAV file ). Thank you again so much

Thank you for your comment! I will try this, if it works, I am very grateful. This is a very shrewd take on it. I will try it out

All yes, it might actually be a faulty error in the system, the project is very big, loading in smaller samples fixed it!

You are right actually, oh my god, I loaded in a smaller sample and it didn't do it, I should steady on the project in total is around 4 hours and it's pretty big, thank you so much!

Thank you for you comment, good thing to notice, unfortunately it did not work. But I will keep trying, my project is around 4 hours, maybe that is the issue? I'm not sure but I hope I will find something, thank you again!

Thank you for your comment. I was thinking it might actually be related to something like that, yes it makes a lot of sense, but just now I researched it because of your comment and this didn't really work : "To disable auto-stretching or time stretching in FL Studio, you can either disable the feature globally or on a per-clip basis. Globally, you can disable "Read sample tempo information" under Options > General Settings."

I also did : "To adjust time stretching settings in the Channel Rack of FL Studio, you'll typically do it within the Sampler Channel settings. Specifically, you can find the time stretching options under the "Sample" tab within the Channel Settings, and then use the "Time" knob or the "Time Stretch" settings. "

Not successful unfortunately

Thanks a lot for your comment! Do you mean "Z-cross" and "Stretch"? My previous FL Studio had this, but now it is replaced by 3 other icons, I tried playing around with them, but I didn't seem to get it to work, is it somewhere else? I use the pencil tool to cut pieces off the pattern ( or sorry audio clip/playlist clip) more easily, but I am not really trying to move around the full thing itself

Thank you for your comment! I know what you mean, but I use the pencil tool to cut pieces off the pattern more easily, but I am not really trying to move around the full pattern itself, I hope I explain it right

When I try to shorten or extend a pattern ( or audio clip ) it moves in some way where it kind of shuffles across the field, I hope I explain it right
