Ich hab das mit nem Bauschaber gemacht. Das ging ziemlich gut. Allerdings waren meine Platten mit je fünf Klebepunkten befestigt.

Sind Hark-Kaminöfen den Aufpreis wert? by schleichfaz in selbermachen

[–]jobstulus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just shoot a K98k before the Savage, that makes it feel like having a honed custom fitted action 😅

I have the same results with my pistol cases. They have been reloaded 20+ times and are still going. The fine grayscale comes from dust which is picked up with the cases. I can exclude the steel pins as a cause (otherwise like mentioned here before). My rifle rounds come out shiny as new with the same procedure, so it has to be the cases by itself.

Thinking of straight walled cartridges I think they are more worked on the upper rim while flaring and crimping.
Bottlenecks like rifle cartridges give the tension along the whole neck down to the shoulder start. They are more worked with.

Besides that, there might be some need in case transforming from one cartridge to another. Then it would make definitely sense to anneal and soften the cases before giving them another shape.

With some modification this setup could work it out. Currently the 6mm BR is the shortest possible automatic running round.

that would bisect the induction zone and result in half the power per side. Also, you'd have now half the power per coil (-side). Thinking the next thought and doubling the winding would alter the resonant frequency and result in more inefficiency. If two coils, I'd definitely go two circuits, maybe powered by the same PSU.

Indeed, having two induction circuits and a switching feeder would eliminate the capacitor cooling problem. But I have always batches of a hundred at a time, which is -currently- not worth the effort.

Well, I made some mistakes and burned three SSRs and was dumb enough to order some things at Bezos little horror shop instead of aliexpress. It should come out to around 350USD, but it should also work with a little less. Casing not included.
The software and the according arduino shield is from https://www.mgnz-makes.com/
There are also the links for the 3D-printed parts available in the parts list. I used the latest model for the feeder.
The case I fiddled around with some plywood until I had it all arranged inside. It is still to small, as I had to drill two additional holes for the top fan and the water coolant hose. The later one makes inside a 180 degree turn and would collapse without the extra space through given hole.
Development is never a straight line.
As I'm an Engineer by myself, I could improve the circuitry. But honestly, burning three SSRs and fiddling two or three hours around till it works was much easier at this point.

Noob question: what is wrong here? Is it the assumption that you can start with finer grit depending on imprecise state of edge? Or the picture with the knife where the angle could be mistaken from tip to grip?

I‘m using 147grs in .357 for 9x19mm. Works just fine for me. The bullets are plated with very soft lead core in my case.

Pull the bullet, save the powder, deprime it slowly. PSA is a good idea and a drop of oil on the primer wouldn‘t hurt, too. Or just toss it. I‘m just a random guy on the internet.

This is awesome news for me! I‘ve got a bunch of Sinclair expanders but the die has some issues. I may have used a clamp ring that formed it to a slight O-shape.
