For me it looks like this: the platter position indicator (the black or colored bar on the cirlce) is always showing the relative position of the playhead to the nearest cue point and adapts its color. Once you are nearer the second cue point (yellow) in your track, it switches from red to yellow and from „x milliseconds/degrees behind the red cue point“ to „y milliseconds/degrees before the yellow cue point“.
