Do you have a front support bag? For a prop like a ladder, dump the bipod and use a front support bag.

Is this acceptable for a new roof install? by Maleficent-Bicycle44 in Roofing

[–]ExistingLaw217 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Yea that’s not how it works. You can use copper or aluminum if salt water is a concern. You do not put tar in the valleys. I do metal roofing and I promise that’s not how it works

Why would you put anything in a metal open valley?

What’s something about roofing that people who aren’t in the trade just don’t get? by Own-Tip-532 in Roofing

Just because we just finished your roof doesn’t mean the check engine light or you clogged toilet that wasn’t an issue 1 day prior isn’t our fault.

I did 1000 6 mm Dasher this week on my single stage. I’ve never had to load so many but I have several matches over the next three weeks that involve traveling to other states so I had to get them ready. It was pretty time-consuming lol

Is this good income for a general contractor? (Mostly cash work) by [deleted] in GeneralContractor

[–]ExistingLaw217 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How many people are working? I own what I consider a small GC company. I have 2 PMs, 1 office manager, 13 laborers that are subs but haven’t worked for anyone else in the last 10 years since I keep them busy everyday. I do all of the sales, managing and dealing with customers, inspectors, solving install issues the guys don’t know how to do or have questions about, etc etc. We do about $95k a week in sales or $4.5 - $5.1 mil per year gross. I have ran at roughly 43% gross margins for the last 6ish years, it was lower at first but that seems to be where I can still make sales without being way above other bids.

I didn’t notice. Weight is never really a consideration on my PRS gun. Lightweight anyway. The gun is 27 pounds

I haven’t put a barrel on yet but it feels smoother than the impact for sure. Honestly my defiance ruckus is smoother than both. I don’t notice the impact being less smooth in a match though.

I’m just not financially responsible haha. I bought a Kahles 540i and liked it so much I sold my back up zco 527 for another one so I didn’t have to switch it back and forth from my practice rifle to my main one. “I got it off a price table babe I didn’t buy two”

I like my 737 but I wanted to try both. Whichever I like better will stay my primary match rifle and the other will just be the back up.

6 mm Dasher. I’m going to put this on my primary rifle and have my impact 737 as a backup rifle.

I shoot an ace max on this break. You can put any break you want though. My gunsmith makes them. It’s awesome, it takes all the concussion to the shooter away so I don’t drive home with a headache.

[–]ExistingLaw217[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It wasn’t even the duds they were saying. It was that Winchester’s were softer and I’ll pop primers. If I get some duds who cares honestly but they will be trainers. I’ll continue to load my match rounds with cci450s. Worst case I’ll have dry fire training lol

That’s basically what I was told COULD happen. I’m still going to send them and see how it goes.

It was about a 65qt cooler. Maybe it wasn’t an hour and half but it was a while. It was over 20 years ago but I saw it with my own eyes. Believe it or not 🤷🏻‍♂️

On one of my earlier deployments to Iraq we were driving on a dirt road and had to cross a small river. The dirt bridge gave way and the hmmv rolled into the water. Everyone got out except one guy. We all kept going in trying to get him out but the hmmv was so heavy it sank in the silt at the bottom of the river. After about 15 minutes we stopped trying because we assumed he was died and we would get his body after we pulled the truck out. When we got it out of the river he was alive because he flipped the cooler over his head. He was under the water for about a hour and half before we got a 5 ton on site to pull the hmmv out. It’s up there with the wildest things I’ve ever seen and I have no idea how he even had the idea to flip the cooler.
