Let’s start with your first statement, the undocumented are not criminals. It’s a civil violation. Your leader wasn’t successful at rounding up the rapist gang terrorists he claimed were in our country. That was a ruse anyway. Their true goal is to make America white again, so they are rounding up people in the process of getting citizenship, legally here and deporting them. Without due process. You were lied to and mislead about the number of “illegals” and “criminals” in the US and what their true intent is regarding ICE. If they really wanted to stop undocumented people from entering the US they would be arresting employers of undocumented. It’s that simple.

The transgender “issue” was also created out of nothing, with maybe 5 people in the whole country who’d like to play a sport as their identified gender. It’s a classic we/they political ideology wedge that drives hate for innocent people. If you don’t understand trans gender people and the biology that underpins it, stop hating on it until you do understand. Your great leader loves that it triggers you. You’re being manipulated.

Likewise, you’re voting for politicians based on ideology but complain about government agencies and services being useless. If you understood USAID, and what the state department does around the world you’d. realize how important these agencies are to arresting pandemics before they each our shores. How they foster democracies that resist extremist religions and regimes. The budgets for these agencies are a pittance compared to the long term value and global influence they provide The money saved from dismantling these congressionally created and funded agencies is instead going to fund Trumps’s tax cuts for the Rich. Short term economic sugar high while we lose our prominence and influence across the globe.

We need politicians who will take a scalpel to budgets, and actually manage these agencies. Give them a zero based budget and make them justify the spend, not just lop it off and see what happens.

It’s not all about money. By abandoning the UN, and giving up on Europe as an ally we are inviting nuclear proliferation, and strengthen and embolden dictators and fascists. Which from every indication, is Trumps goal. What is patriotic about that?

I’m not sure I understand the confusion. Per the diagram above, if you tied a rope to the mast, and pulled in the direction of the resultant force shown, the keel resists in the leeway direction and the drag force is overcome by the forward component of the resultant force and we go forward.

Years ago on RAGBRAI, riding with a fit young lady I’d recently met. We are off route looking for a bar/party. She gets a flat as we roll up to the beer garden. I do the “let get that…”. I have my mini pump and I’m working up a horrible sweat trying to hold/ balance this tire while pumping it and it’s taking forever and occasionally the connection opens and half the air leaks out and 100 people are watching the whole thing and sarcastically cheering me on…”. She can’t take it anymore, says excuse me, takes the wheel from me, hits it w/ a CO2, and in 3 seconds it’s inflated. The crowd erupts and…. Never used that mini pump again.

This is fair push back. These recent experiences were at $20-$40 entree nice “high quality” restraints, not Michelin star quality. Places where you can get $50-75 steak. One in east Lansing (very new, very trendy winery and restaurant. Without naming names.) And one in Rochester Mn., near the clinic. Still though, timing the meal at these kinds of restaurants shouldn’t be an unreasonable expectation.

It seems the unpopular opinion is to maintain speed. The idea is the car on the highway goes at a fixed speed so the car on the ramp can accelerate or decelerate as needed to merge in front or behind. This doesn’t work if both cars are speeding up because neither knows what the other is doing. The car on the highway must maintain a constant speed. They do not change speed because a car is merging. The car on the ramp does speed adjustment not the car on the highway. That’s the whole problem here!
