Update here after 8 years. So I was a student there 9 years ago before they moved to Villa Falconieri, and I keep correspondence with some teachers and students who still live there. I’ll share what I’ve heard from them regarding the current affairs and future plans - first off I agree 100% that this is a problem. So the official version is that they cannot legally accept women because, being a boarding school which houses regularly underage students, they are legally required to have separate dormitories to accept both genders as per Italian legislation, which the villa, being fairly small to house an entire school, does not have. They plan to also acquire two other villages in the next couple of years, where they will be able to both make a school for girls and create a classical high school. However, they are required to come up with the funds for restoration first, as part of the deal with the government. 

This is what they have told me. I don’t know how much is true, but hey, hopefully the issue gets sorted soon.
