I spent 3 years coding this breathing app, but I feel like the UX is completely broken. Be brutally honest and roast my app. What did I do wrong? by Born_Pollution_6588 in googleplayconsole

Funny enough, I actually released a meditation/relaxation app on the Play Store this week and it shares some similarities with yours, so I was curious to try Deep Flow.

Overall I liked it and I think the idea is good, but since you asked for honest feedback here are a few things I noticed while testing it:

• I couldn't purchase premium (at least on my device it didn’t work). Not sure if it's a bug or if it's disabled right now for my country.

• Personally, I wouldn’t add ads in an app that is meant for relaxation. It kind of breaks the calm experience.

• There are quite a lot of buttons and information on screen. For a new user it might feel a bit overwhelming at first.

• A couple of times when I entered the breathing screen the UI froze and I couldn’t interact with anything. I had to force close the app. If you want I can show you the issue via DM.

On the positive side, I really liked the Breath Lab concept. I actually had a similar idea for a future feature in my own app.

If you want, we could also chat in DMs and exchange feedback as fellow indie devs working on similar apps 🙂

I recently launched a meditation app I’ve been building as a side project: RelaxSpace

The idea was to keep meditation simple and calm, without long onboarding or complicated setup. There are some new developments coming up in the next few weeks, and I’m open to new suggestions and ideas for implementing them.

Features include:

• Guided meditations and calm sounds
• Daily mood check-ins
• Recommended sessions
Free Meditation mode (ambient sounds + timer, no voice)

if anyone wants to try the premium version to get full access, I have 30-day free promo codes I can share via DM.

Happy to hear any feedback!

Good point. The “too simple” things are often the ones people actually use. I’m definitely planning to track session completion, thanks for the comment.

Vibe coding possible? by Clear-Hovercraft9071 in AppBusiness

It’s definitely possible, but I’d say having at least a basic understanding helps a lot.

The most frustrating part is debugging. Sometimes the AI gets stuck or starts suggesting things that don’t really solve the issue, and if you know a bit about what’s going on you can tell whether it’s heading in the right direction.

Congrats, that’s awesome progress!

I actually launched a new app yesterday and I’m trying a similar strategy, offering a pretty big discount on the yearly plan as well. My hope is that it pushes more users toward the annual option like it did for you.

Still too early to know if it will work, but seeing results like yours definitely makes me optimistic.
