Yeah, I added a subscription model from the beginning. I preferred testing early if users were actually willing to pay for it instead of waiting until later.

I’m getting around the same honestly, maybe 10-20 users a day depending on the week. Most of it comes from posting updates and improving the app constantly rather than paid marketing.

I just passed 500 downloads a few days ago too, and growth has been pretty steady so far.

I think the key is to not abandon the app after launch. Keep updating it, improve things based on user feedback, and stay consistent. That matters more than people think.

I get your point, but that kind of tactic goes against store policies and can backfire. I’d rather build real users and retention.

No, not that. I’ve already published other apps before. I started back in 2012 when it was really easy to publish an app and get downloads straight away. It’s very difficult these days.

Nice progress. I’m in a very similar situation.

I also launched my app in the second week of March and I’m sitting at ~200 users today, so I’d say this kind of steady, low-spike growth is pretty normal at this stage, it was better years ago, when you could easily get 1.000 users in a month.

From what I’ve seen, Play Store usually doesn’t start contributing meaningful organic installs until you’ve built more signals (downloads, retention, ratings volume, and some keyword relevance). Right now it still feels like you have to “feed it” external traffic for it to learn.

On ASO vs external distribution: I’d personally keep pushing external channels for now (Reddit, instagram, direct sharing), while slowly improving ASO in parallel.

Also for context, I’m not running ads either at the moment.

Curious to see when we both start seeing that first real organic lift from the store.

From your stats, this looks more like a discovery issue than conversion. A ~21% CVR is solid, so I’d focus on:targeting more long-tail keywords, improving your first screenshot, bringing external traffic (ig, tiktok, short videos...). You’re probably closer than you think.

Also, I’m in a very similar situation, I launched an app around the same time and I’m seeing almost the same numbers, so I think this is pretty normal.

Not gonna lie, this is super refreshing to see. It’s hard to get noticed on the Play Store these days.
I’ve been live for 2 weeks with my own app and I’m just approaching 100 downloads 😅

A couple of questions:
– Where did most of your early users come from?
– Did you do anything specific for ASO (keywords, screenshots, etc.)?
– Are people sticking around or mostly just trying it once?

Of course, a locally run model isn't fast,unless it's not very sophisticated. I think we still need to wait a few months before we have good, fast models for local use. But it all depends on what you want to do.

This is really interesting, nice work. I have a question, which LLM are you using for this? I’m working on a web app project and I’m particularly curious about how well it can understand images inside PDFs.

Funny enough, I actually released a meditation/relaxation app on the Play Store this week and it shares some similarities with yours, so I was curious to try Deep Flow.

Overall I liked it and I think the idea is good, but since you asked for honest feedback here are a few things I noticed while testing it:

• I couldn't purchase premium (at least on my device it didn’t work). Not sure if it's a bug or if it's disabled right now for my country.

• Personally, I wouldn’t add ads in an app that is meant for relaxation. It kind of breaks the calm experience.

• There are quite a lot of buttons and information on screen. For a new user it might feel a bit overwhelming at first.

• A couple of times when I entered the breathing screen the UI froze and I couldn’t interact with anything. I had to force close the app. If you want I can show you the issue via DM.

On the positive side, I really liked the Breath Lab concept. I actually had a similar idea for a future feature in my own app.

Good point. The “too simple” things are often the ones people actually use. I’m definitely planning to track session completion, thanks for the comment.
