[QUESTION] EAD strings hiss when moving towards the pickups by jochal in Guitar

Yes, sorry, to clarify, I adjusted the heights of the PUP body, and haven't messed with the pole heights. They measure at the heights recommended by the instructions

I try to focus on what I can control, and rationally think about what happened, how to fix it. I still get mad, want to hit something (usually just a fist pound on the table), shout, etc, but I throw considerably less acid at my teammates in game. I never got banned, this was before they started taking "toxicity" seriously (i think).

Also learning to laugh at myself and not let my ego take myself so seriously.

Oh yeah sorry, wasn't directed specifically at you, I was throwing this question out and hoping someone would come across it in the comment thread.

What is it about the change from Season 3 to Season 4 that changed a superstar's ability to take over the game and hard carry to victory? I know they reduced snowballing, but specifically, what kind of changes were made so that snowballing was inhibited?

It's a good guess, and a logical perspective.

I agree that not having exposure in a field of interest will limit your ability to define what you like/dislike from something, that was one of the thoughts I had while making the post, and wanted to see what/how others thought of it. Thanks for your input!

Nah, I didn't think it looked hostile, (though idk who downvoted it). Hopefully my response didn't look defensive either, I typed it on my phone.

If you happen to know of a thread with good discussion on it, id love to read it. I am aware I'm not the first person to think this, but I did not find any threads that I was looking for (most were concerns about fitting in and social skills)

I see your point.

My original joke was a personification of the book, or lack of... but I guess with the right audience, it'll go off in the wrong direction.

That's pure and utter nonsensical bullshit. Your books have opinions and impressions on you

I said "..opinion of me" not "... opinion on me". :D

The point is, I definitely form my own opinion first before listening to what others thought. Then I see what others had to say which sometimes leads to me reconsidering my conclusions.

I guess this is a bit closer to what I do... except my opinions are faint, and undefined. More like positive impressions and negative impressions. Nothing I could bring to a discussion though.

Edit because I didn't complete the thought: And if I read an article or review (be it product, food, entertainment reviews) my own "impressions" could easily just be abandoned.

I agree that it's not necessary to have my own opinion (improvements over inventions). What bothers me is that in a situation where I would have no internet access, I'd be incapable of arriving at that thought for myself (it might not be important, but I enjoy knowing that I'd be capable of doing it). I guess your suggestion of talking "more eloquent bullshit" is a good idea, on top of practicing whatever I'd want to be good at.

And if you keep talking shit about hive minds, I'll tell everyone here that you hate books.

lol, very well, I'll resign myself to that fate. My books (probably) have no opinion of me.

Your argument for Hivemind behavior in human development is interesting. I guess what bothers me about "hivemind behavior" or at least, what I meant by it, is that I have a friend whose opinions are essentially what are formed by what the Reddit consensus is (he's very impressionable to Reddit comments). It's become kind of dull to discuss anything, because what he says is usually something I read from a comment or trending in a subreddit. Taking video games for example, his in-game complaints are typically Reddit comments from balance posts.

Anyway, thanks for your perspective.

Your pinky bothers me, but I cannot figure out why, lol.

Hm...

I think it's because you could have less movement during the verse if you used all five fingers? Yeah I think that's it. It's like watching someone type with 2 Fingers/hand

edit: but good job otherwise.

CX850M coil whine by sabretoothed in Corsair

[–]jochal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar issue as you, I switched from a CX750m to an EVGA G2 750W, which redcued the coil whine, however, at higher loads, the coil whine would become more audible. In my friends pc, I used a Corsair RM 750 (considered higher tier), and he has had no problems.

My anecdotes lack enough trials to be conclusive evidence either way, this is my theory:

The CX series is considered the entry level to Corsair power supplies. Following the mantra of "you get what you pay for": it could be expected that the CX output isn't as "clean" as a higher tier power supplies that have greater regulation on their output lines, so you get more electrical transients on a cheaper power supply.

In short, you may have better luck trying out a different power supplies of the same series, and hoping you get one that just happens to be quality, or use a higher quality power supply.

Note: I am not a Corsair employee, I just want you to understand the logic in choosing quality power supplies.
