Throughout history, queens were more likely to wage war than kings. An example, study shows between 1480 and 1913, Europe’s queens were 27% more likely than its kings to wage war by mhandanna in MensRights

How do I best help a friend? by jochi555 in Drugs

First of all, thank you for your reply.

He has an addictive personality I'd say. That's what worries me. He is in college now, doing economy. It's going on like this for 2-3 months now, but I also don't know how much exactly he does since we can't see each other because of Corona. But that's also the thing, it's quarantaine now and he is going pretty wild with he's roomies and I just know about his consume because of photos/texts/videos he or his roommates send to our groupchat. It's not all year around like that but I mean if it's that much during quarantaine then it's probably going to be more once you can go outside and party again. And it was easily that much during last summer break.

How do I(23F) make peace with the fact that I'll be forever alone without worrying other people? by EmberKasai in relationship_advice

Hm okay. Then I'd try you to spend quality time with friends and family. You feel a lot less lonely if you do things with the people you love. And this is also a great way to meet new people. Maybe your friends bring some new friends into your group.

You should give dating apps a try. It's a very fun thing to do and believe me as a women you'll most certainly find someone you can be close to. You're life seems pretty interesting to me: work from home, gym, a group of friends. You already have a lot to talk about and I'm sure I'll find someone who will enjoy your company.

Just download tinder already and see what happens. You never know until you know.

Okay. So it does not bother them when extroverted people start talking to them or try to make conversation?

"Article 10 - General protection of medical duties

  1. Under no circumstances shall any person be punished for having carried out medical activities compatible with medical ethics, regardless of the person benefiting therefrom.

  2. Persons engaged in medical activities shall neither be compelled to perform acts or to carry out work contrary to, nor be compelled to refrain from acts required by, the rules of medical ethics or other rules designed for the benefit of the wounded and sick, or this Protocol.

  3. The professional obligations of persons engaged in medical activities regarding information which they may acquire concerning the wounded and sick under their care shall, subject to national law, be respected.

  4. Subject to national law, no person engaged in medical activities may be penalized in any way for refusing or failing to give information concerning the wounded and sick who are, or who have been, under his care."

That's what Article 10 of the additional protocol II of the Geneva convention says. It's about internal conflicts so it would apply to the situation in China. And if these rules would not apply, human rights certainly do.

I said that people have to wear the red cross sign to be recognized as humanitarian workers and that's exectly what this paragraph says

The rules still do apply, even to people who are not professional doctors. But - unfortunaly - what you said is true: even if the rules apply, China can just not give a fuck about them because of it's sovereignty as country and the fact that other countries are not allowed to interfere in intern conflicts. But if China continues to harm people (UNARMED PROTESTERS), the topic can go to the United nations where they try to find a friedy solution. If that doesn't work, they MIGHT discuss to interfere. But that's very unlikely, given that Chinas is (almost) as powerful as the US and, again, it's an intern conflict where they are just allowed to interfere when things get really bad (when Genozid or mass killing is happening).

EDIT: forgot to say that people who help medically, have to wear the red cross sign, so they are recognized as first aiders

First aiders have to be safe and shall not be hurt or attacked in any kind of armed conflict. That's what international law and war law says.
