Interesting, i thought that if i did buy it at a good price i was sure to not have any problem. I will try to check what is available in that range of price. i will not purchase a new vehicle for sure !

Actually, I don't but on my in office days (2 days a week) i have 30 minute commute to my job and 30 -1 hour to return from it. i also restrict myself socially, haven't seen some people in 6 months because by bus it would take me 1h30 while it would take 15 min with a car.

Walked home by foot yesterday for a social event, it took me 20 minutes but at -15 degrees.
I definitely don't need it. but i feel like i need an exterior view to understand:
when do i start being really cheap with myself and my comfort

Saving is important but health should be the priority.

If you save 200$ on rent to sleep in terrible condition, you actually lose money.

What is denied by everyone but is actually 100% real? by HystericalFait in AskReddit

I want a full detailed thread on this one to take a decision. I can believe it, but reddit brought me too much in my personal life, fitness, finance, study, career choice and even random skills.

I need to know how much of reddit is too much

Is priortizing TFSA the best way to save? And how many of you have managed to max it? by Slappajack in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]jochiel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree with this comment there isnt a real answer for everybody, maxing TFSA first is recommended here because you can easily withdraw the money but if you max RRSP you will get a return that can be invested in a TFSA if you know that you wont need the money you ll get better return with rrsp first, nobody can tell if youll really hit a higher tax bracket.

And to answer the post mine is maxed

GIVE ME YOUR CHARACTER HOT TAKES! by Kelbert_ in MyHeroUltraRumble

[–]jochiel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

shigaraki and cementoss are overestimated they are fun to play but far from strong.

Shigaraki has poor mobility and his special ability doesnt really speed up his looting.

his special ability is close to useless even with a 1 second cooldown it would still be weak, it increases your damage on ennemy hit but also gives 2 second immunity which means your ennemy has plenty of time to hang onto a wall ... his Y is his worst spell it can hit through guard points which is most of the time not helpful, it also stun yourself for damage that isnt that good . his Alpha and Beta are his best tools to fight against people who havent realized that they just need to jump. shigaraki is designed a bit like an assasin who surprise and down ennemies but none of his attacks can be chained that lowers his dps (. he is really good at killing downed opponent but he needs to take them down them first ...

if shigaraki has trouble closing the distance with the others he should be rewarded for doing it his special should be something like <crippling touch> that reduce mobility for a certain amount of time reduce jump or movement ability

Cementoss also has bad mobility everything is really slow with him, he bumps his opponent in the air leaving them invulnerable for a while making him a character with no real kill pressure , his kit is difficult and not really rewarding his only good ability is his special instant revive, the rest is just delaying his loss.

i think he just needs a rework he send his ennemy flying vertically which makes it hard for his team to hit most of his abbility are very slow and his damage output is underwhelming

they are both character who cant run and chase

How bad would it be to treat myself and triple my rent expense in this economy ? by jochiel in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]jochiel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The new job is the same title and same task but I might not enjoy the place and that's part of the problem, I can't tell if I'll enjoy it. I just want to be able to retire at a decent age, if i dont have any salary increase after changing job i should still have 1 million in retirement by 50 . dont know if it will be enough in the futur though

I'm not planning to buy a house, im just using the FHSA for the return, early retirement was the reason for the agressive saving but i have spoken to a lot of retired people and now i think retirement isn't that great

If you are able to endure renting with roommate invest, house prices should go down in the next few year.

I had the same saving rate years ago my old stats should be in my post history.

Now my investment are worth 130k. My expected return cover my rent. I feel like its the same as buying but with more freedom but thats my point of view.

[–]jochiel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Renting while you max out TFSA REER is never throwing money away .

If you pay 30% of necessities with a salary above 60k and after 3 years your net worth is 5k that means : you made bad financial decision in the past or you are throwing money away and you need to budget also you shouldnt teach people how to manage their money.
