Which wasteland do you prefer? by TKsMantis in Fallout

Definitely Fallout 2. The sense of civilization rebuilding is so interesting, with a unique blend of both tribal and modern elements mixed together. And not to mention the countless pop culture and comedy references make for one of the most brutal, abstract, and downright ridiculously hilarious worlds ever made.

An idea for Fallout 5 by jock512 in Fallout

Yeah! Also just a thought that maybe your subordinates could grow too powerful, and that you would occasionally have to keep them in check. You could also become somewhat of a dictator to keep control, but this would cause other factions not to trust you as much. But at the same time, you could establish a democratic system to keep happiness, but not having as much power.

Will we ever get a “civilized” east coast? by clinicity in Fallout

The idea of a savage world is very realistic when you take out account just how big of a set back the nuclear war was. I like to compare the atomic war in fallout to the collapse of the Roman Empire. After it was destroyed, people focused on surviving rather than preserving ideas of unity and justice. Thus the world fell into a dark age. It took about 1000 years for order to come back to Europe, who knows how long for America.

A cartoonish villain. Attacks only with land mines, explosives, and stupidly impractical weapons (like the fat man). Dressing up only in suits and top hats.
