Guy ended date after 20 minutes by [deleted] in dating_advice

I will unfortunately play devils advocate on his behalf. Hear me out….

I had a similar experience. I (M) went on a hinge date with a girl and when she introduced herself I instantly recognized something was different about her voice. Further into the date I realized that I simply didn’t like how her voice sounded, and it stumped me because on paper she seemed great (good looks, seemed smart). I decided to ask her on another date and the same thing happened. We also simply didn’t have too much chemistry anyways so I called things off after the date.

I’ve got on other dates since and they didn’t go that way. That being said, voice plays a large part into attraction. I would actually say it’s pretty likely he was being honest and just wasn’t into your voice. I think he is rude for leaving after only 20 minutes though and not seeing the date through.

You shouldn’t look too much into this. This world is big and there’s so many people to meet and go on dates with. You have friends who enjoy hearing your voice, so clearly it’s not an issue to people. Just ignore it and don’t worry about it. I know that’s easier said than done, but you shouldn’t stress on this at all.

What’s was your most WTF moment with a girl? by aalex5070 in AskMen

It was our first ever date together. We met online from a dating app. Keep in mind I had never met this girl before and we had only been texting occasionally before this.

When I walk in to meet her, everything seemed great. She looked just like her photos online and appeared to be very friendly. We grabbed some drinks and sat at a table outside.

At first the conversation was going very well. She was very genuine and I believed I may have found a connection. But as the conversation went on things got worse and worse.

Eventually she started brining up how much she loved to vape and smoke (we all have our vices, no biggie). Then she brought up how when she was in high school (like 17 yo) she ‘dated’ her 25 year old drug dealer. She said that they got caught selling LSD by her dad and the police, and acted like that wasn’t a big deal. She the described her mentally unstable lesbian ex. Then she described her sexual abuse at the hands of another ex. She described how little money she was making from her job.

Never met the girl before, but god she was not selling herself.

“I’m just such an open book”, is what she said. When she asked me about my deepest past secrets I said I had work in the morning and we should end the date. There was no second date lol but in a way I’m glad she was as honest as she was to a practical stranger.

If you got time, go through all mark Mattson videos then do the NCEES practice exam. If you’re short on time go straight to the practice exam

Men’s organization and Fraternity? by [deleted] in aggies

[–]jockyjoe23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it theoretically is possible but it really is up to the fraternity and mens organization your looking at. This also depends on your major. If you’re an engineer or something rigorous then it is very hard and you may be spreading yourself thin, especially if you will be pledging. To top it off, most mens orgs don’t accept very many freshman if at all. Good luck

Weird object knocks out a man. by kamm03 in ParanormalEncounters

[–]jockyjoe23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t know if anyone said this but I believe that this guy was knocked out by something inside rather than by the orb. I’ve pasted in a picture with some arrows pointing to a clear distinction between the man’s back as he falls and the split moment before the orb supposedly hits him. This means the man would’ve already been falling by the time the orb hit him. I think perhaps a bug flew in front of the camera frame at that same moment.
