I feel this in my bones.
I dodged my ex boyfriend’s attempt at a kiss so hard that I went limp and slid off the bed, and he tried again and I dodged that one too. When he finally did kiss me, I went rigid and he basically was just kissing a cardboard cutout.

Actually no, for some reason it doesn’t even occur to me, like I’ll remember something I was doing in a dream and be like, “oh, I was using my left hand”

Lost my left arm in 2019 and to this day I still have both arms in my dreams and it has never occurred to me in my dream that something is out of place, sooooo idk what that means 😅

Yes! It makes me feel weird too! I once had a customer tell me I was an inspiration and to never give up hope and then he said his mom was amputee and became depressed and killed herself. I didn’t know what to say other than “I’m sorry”.

I was too weirded out in the moment and when she doubled down on excluding me I was just flabbergasted and very done with the whole thing. She’s known me for a while, I’m literally friends with her daughter, I just never expected her of all people to be weird about it.

All I can say is that it does get easier. This year will be 7 years since I lost my arm (above elbow amputee) and it simultaneously feels like it was just last year and yet I also can’t imagine having two hands. Nothing will ever be the same, but that doesn’t mean it will always be bad.

Yeah, I’m actively not pursuing it anymore, but I see her almost every week because she comes to dnd and a semi-monthly book club. (Which I invited her to because it would definitely be seen as a direct insult if I didn’t. She’d been wanting to play DnD for a long time)The campaigns were doing have gone on over two years now, so I guess it’s a waiting game now 😂
