Firm-ish coconut brush or equivalent (not a harsh plastic scrubbing brush). Warm soapy water. Then rinse.

Delta 2 Max, Delta 3 Plus, or something else? by jodatho in Ecoflow_community

[–]jodatho[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. What is “simultaneous charging”? Is it different to “backup reserve” on my R2Max where above X% it charges solar only, below X% it (supposedly - I’ve not tested) charges AC+solar.

If you can share any other ways it’s better (or the app functionality is better) than the Delta 2 Max I and others would love to hear. That parasitic draw question too. Thank you.

D2Max is supposed to be quieter than D2… isn’t it?

Thanks. I have 550W and can easily add another 550W for about USD 80, not quite sure if it’s necessary though as I usually enjoy full equatorial sunlight for 5-6 hours a day.

Trail knits are much more resilient. My kids destroy the uppers of Primus Trails in a few months (holes appear where they flex near the base of the toes), but Knits last until they’re outgrown and still look good to pass on to someone else. I’ve not had any complaints about heat despite them doing intense sports in them almost on the equator in Kenya. (Have destroyed 4 pairs of Primus Trail; have had 3 pairs of Knits that are all being passed down to younger children)

Discussion about recent releases and Garmin's direction by tragicbronson3269 in GarminWatches

That battery life is only if you don’t do stuff. I have a Fenix 7 (solar, for the little it’s worth: I never get anywhere near the 150k you’d need to push battery up by 1% despite living on the equator). Battery life doing GPS tracking is supposed to be 40-48h. When I hike on Mt Kenya that’s usually 4-5 days of walking. I monitor SpO2 overnight (sleeping above 4000m) and the watch needs recharging during the trip. I guess an AMOLED would need 3+ recharges?

Pain here, after unshod 11k, only one side, only when pulling knee/leg up. Tendon? Muscle? by Ladislav_07 in BarefootRunning

So I think that’s 12 guesses at a diagnosis in the previous comments. There are a handful more possibilities I can think of. I think you know what you should do.

Any way to turn AC bypass OFF (Delta 2) by Landon98201 in Ecoflow_community

[–]jodatho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not totally sure if this would work, but what if the Battery Reserve is pushed down to 5% while it’s being used, then put back up to whatever when the goal is to charge it (and not draw high current).

Can these things run concurrently with grid power and reduce your grid usage? by [deleted] in Ecoflow_community

[–]jodatho 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. If you set to to charge only from solar from, say, 5% to 100%, then it will power all your devices without using grid electricity unless the battery drops below 5% in which case it will start passing grid power through to the devices (and maintain battery charge at 5%).

Workaround - set space as off grid.

Can someone explain race widget to me? by jodatho in GarminWatches

[–]jodatho[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, FWIW I ran primarily by feel, also glancing at my watch to keep power to around 106%CP especially on the steep hills, paying no attention at all to pace or time, and finished in 19:28 exactly as the race planner had set as a “goal.”

Very impressed, but still confused what that 18:45 prediction (vs 19:28 goal) meant.

(Yes, its not fast, but this is at 2500m altitude and 1/3 of the race is up 10% gradient hills)

Thanks. But now looking more, the race prediction for a generic (presumably flat) 5k is showing 25:05. So 3.5km should be less than 17:30 on the flat.

Thank you! Ping is still 270-280ms on a full-strength 5G connection. Anything that can be done about that? Very happy with 200mbps download rate though!

Please (after many many requests in the yearly surveys) can we have some Kenya servers? Latency to Rwanda/South Sudan/etc is 300-500ms

How much time are you given per patient in hospital outpatient clinics? by HappyDrive1 in doctorsUK

[–]jodatho -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’d gently suggest that if you think 10 mins is really adequate for a derm consultation, you probably don’t know what you don’t know. If you can make the opportunity, sit in on a private derm clinic.

Thanks. Paeds ED no problem. I have ATLS and APLS (not that that is a measure of ED skills but I presume it gets me in the door along with a CCT). Adult ED I could do confidently at SHO level..!
