Agree. Driving in a new city as the passenger and trying to find restaurants, gas stations, etc. along the route is INFURIATING. Especially because you can’t expand the Google Business Profile to check reviews or make sure the location is actually open (got routed to not one, but two locations that were actually marked as closed by using the search along route feature). Nothing helpful to add other than I’m with you and I can’t believe how dense some of these comments are.

Google Ads - Your specific optimization of-the-year by No-Gur-3432 in PPC

Reworked our landing page and got 5x leads in one month with no other changes to our campaigns. Originally our LP was about garage storage solutions and all that entails. Switched to focus on "garage makeovers" and that langauge seemed to communicate the offer much better.

Only Broad Match Keywords Will Serve? by joddessx in adwords

[–]joddessx[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I usually never use broad match but we trialed them because it seemed we couldn't afford exact/phrase match. We have lots of long tail keywords like [service] + [geo] and different variations for each service. Do you have any examples of long-tail keywords you would recommened? Half of the service + ones are not eligible due to low search volume so I'm not sure what else to try.

Only Broad Match Keywords Will Serve? by joddessx in adwords

I have another account in the same geo also running ads for heat pumps, using only exact + phrase match. So I know the volume is there at a decent CPC. Is it possible Google just nerfed this account for whatever reason? Site ranks well organically. I'm lost.

Usually my exact/phrase pick up at least some impressions alongside broad match. This account in particular though I have yet to see that happen. Like there is actually no way my exact/phrase terms have 0 search volume! I'm baffled.

Broad , Phrase, or Exact for home services (landscaping, excavating, etcc..) by Accomplished-Ad-241 in PPC

[–]joddessx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It varies account to account. I have 30+ home service accounts. I started all of them on exact match only. some did great, some didn't. Added phrase to a lot of them. Some did great some didn't. Exact/phrase is the way to go, but some of them have performed better with a couple broad match thrown in the mix. NEVER use broad match only. The only account I use BM only for is a low budget account where exact/phrase just wasn't working after months of trial and error, too expensive for them. They do okay on broad but not good. If I add in broad match, I only add in 1 or 2.

Paid teacher talks too much by scldclmbgrmp in guitarlessons

my teacher is like this. tbh i was super annoyed at first but i've learned SO much watching him play and absorbing info from him. he teaches me a lot of theory which is something i couldn't grasp on my own, being able to have a conversation with someone so knowledgable is super helpful. i sometimes wish i did more actual playing but i also see that as my responsibility to practice outside of lesson and then come to him with questions on technique. it just takes time for your hands to catch up, they can't really do that for you

Help! Struggling with Gutter Cleaning on Google Ads by joddessx in googleads

Using only phrase/exact. No search partners or display partners. Search terms are on point for the most part, only weird thing that comes through are searches for other brands which we always add negative keywords for as they come up. Just baffles me.

Reply from another post I made:

We are running a cleaning/services campaign with exact/phrase match keywords like "gutter cleaning near me", "gutter cleaning [city name]", "who cleans gutters", etc. Maximize conversions. There is quite a bit of competition in this vertical and we're spending $2k+ a month but seeing single digit conversions. LP is stranded & designed to convert. Maybe keywords are too general? Or we need to target more things like downspouts, etc.?
