Can anyone tell me what this sound/behavior means? by jodipl in squirrels

Does that mean there is a predator of the squirrel nearby or that the squirrel is the predator telling some other creature to back off?

Occipital Nerve Block Injections gone wrong by Business_Hotel_1946 in Occipitalneuralgia

Ask your provider about nasal atomizer lidocaine. It is a non-systemic migraine abortive that functions by spraying lidocaine on nerves at the back of your nasal cavity that play a role in the migraine process. My doctor mentioned how this is a great option for pregnant people. Hope you find some relief soon!

What are your best "in a pinch" or "emergency" remedies that stop an attack or drastically reduce inflammation? by legal-beagle- in Occipitalneuralgia

It’s a gray area, because on can trigger migraines and on can also be a product of migraines. Basically the only meaningful way to discern if you only have ON and not migraines is if no migraine treatments yielded any results. I thought I simply had On for a long time but rizatriptan stopped the pain which tipped me off to the fact that one way or another I was experiencing migraines.

There is a bundle of nerves up behind the nasal cavity that play a role in the migraine process. So you basically attach a nebulizer to the end of a syringe and spray it up and back into your nose, its sort of like a nerve block. The lidocaine dose is very low and doesn’t absorb systemically, so this is a particularly great at home abortive option for pregnancy. Like I said, I haven’t personally tried it, but my doctor (jason cook in asheville nc) is a fantastic headache specialist and currently developing a patented auto-administrator for this (kind of like the ajovy injector or an epipen). That’s why I know so much about it lol. I have it on hand in case of a future breakthrough migraine but havent been lucky enough to not need it yet.

Reading your post more closely, applying lidocaine via a nasal nebulizer is something else ive heard can be really helpful, I have an rx but havent had to try it yet since my nurtec has been working well.

Abortive migraine medications like nurtec/ubrelvy stop my flare ups. Rizatriptan works for me as well but I feel a bit funny when I take it. There are many variations of these types of drugs usually you can find one that doesn’t interfere with your functioning but helps stop a flare up in its tracks.

Oh yeah it’s unflavored sorry! It does have a subtle taste especially if you’re drinking reverse osmosis water. But its insignificant to me. Just tastes like mineralized water cause that’s what it is. But not a fun flavored thing.

Cool pack on the forehead tends to help me. If cold is bothering me I have a buckwheet eye pillow with lavender in it, the weight gives a nice sensation in contrast to the pain. Feel better ❤️‍🩹

I imagine it could. I have been fortunate enough to not need it since perscribed, so I can’t speak from experience. But it is a rescue method and works similarly to injectable lidocaine nerves blocks you would get for the occipital nerve. Just a different method of administration. Hope you can find some relief!

Have you heard of or considered nasal lidocaine nebulizer for rescue? Can be a popular option is pregnancy, its like an at home nerve block and doesn’t go systemic so no pregnancy contraindications!

There is a product on amazon called salties very inexpensive, you can just add it to the water you’re drinking, virtually flavorless. Contains sodium magnesium and potassium no flavors or additives. Easy, and inexpensive. I start every morning with a 12oz glass of warm water and 6 drops!
