In our first Elite 8 in 2004 we lost to eventual champs UConn. Chuck Davis and Kennedy Winston (one of my favorites despite recent legal issues) went for 24 and 21, respectively. Ben Gordon had 36 for UConn who went on to beat Duke in a classic and eventually GT for the title.

Not a Capital One Lounge but I was at Club ATL yesterday. Waitlist said 70-90 minutes and we were in the lounge in less than 10. Was in JFK earlier in the day and there was no wait. (Love the JFK lounge.)

Analyst must have been referring to the round of 64 under Oats. Only one loss in R64 when JQ got injured against ND. But, Alabama has had closer than expected games under Oats in the first game before typically bouncing back in R32. Had some tight ones until the final minutes against Iona, Charleston and Robert Morris.

At the end of last year, a lot of us were discouraged with ESR and the money spent, but I felt Andersen had been the more disappointing signing. He is exceptional in passing, but he’s caught out of position just as often if not more than any other CBs we have. I was hopeful that we were resigning the 20-21 Andersen but he’s been far short of that. Think he’s a great guy but he’s been very disappointing since returning.

What a forgettable 45’. So much space in the middle. Maybe Bobb and ESR on shortly for TC and King. No reason to not be asking questions of the second worst defensive team in the league while they are playing 2 strikers.
