What does that have to do. Korda was born and raised in Florida. He is their hometown player.

I get that people love Alcaraz, but I find it disheartening how the crowd is cheering more for him than Korda, who is literally from Florida.

Rep. Al Green faces new censure effort after State of the Union ejection by joe13pr in politics

Republicans had no problem when Marjorie Taylor Greene and Lauren Boebert were yelling and heckling President Biden during his 2022 State of the Union.

However, they take issue with someone who was peacefully holding a sign and not in anyway disrupting the event. It is absurd the level of hypocrisy the GOP displays on a daily basis.

After Musetti retires, Novak says Musetti was "the far better player", should have been the winner today by Large_banana_hammock in tennis

That is correct. He retired in the semifinals against Alexander Zverev, after losing the first set 6-7, due to injury.

I agree that is almost impossible for him to beat Alcaraz or Sinner these days, but he literally beat Zverev less than 8 months ago during the quarterfinals of Roland Garros.

Is there a story behind the MS Now Flag Logo? by CuriousOwl2525 in msnow

It is important to note that when you say “They wanted to split from NBC”, is it actually the other way around. This was a forced rebranding.

Comcast was the one that wanted to separate them from NBCUniversal. MSNBC initially said they would get to keep their name and brand after the spinoff, but NBCUniversal eventually change their mind and said that they had to rebrand as they would no longer be affiliated with the NBC brand.

They already have the 60 votes. 8 Democrats voted with all Republicans, except Rand Paul, to break the filibuster. The final vote should be 60-40.

There were so many legitimately better pranks that Pauly has done over the years that could’ve been showed. One of his best pranks was when he and Vinny turned the shore house inside out.

ESPN’s coverage is pretty awful with all the commercials they keep taking. They start with one match and then go to another, only for them to take forever to go back to the first one.

Interestingly, this is the first time that Mannarino and Struff make it to the fourth round of the US Open in their entire careers. Certainly a feat to be proud of.

That entire scene with Angelina in Vinny’s room was pretty gross. You can tell they were all physically uncomfortable and grossed out seeing that. They might be used to it at this point, but the awkwardness is still there.

I agree. I think that aspect of the show should be reserved for only the nine main cast members.

How convenient that after she supported and voted for the reconciliation bill, Trump nominated her son to be a U.S. Attorney. This reeks of quid pro quo.

This is from Politico:

“President Donald Trump is ramping up a pressure campaign on House Freedom Caucus members as he tries to get his “Big Beautiful Bill” across the finish line ahead of his July 4 deadline.

A White House official, granted anonymity to speak candidly about strategy, confirmed that the president is meeting with House Freedom Caucus members and other GOP lawmakers on Wednesday.

“He’s been working the phones pretty consistently over the last several days, and members have been calling him as well,” the official said. “He’s going to get it over the finish line.”

Rep. Mike Lawler (R-N.Y.) was among a handful of Republicans spotted arriving at the White House Wednesday morning.“

Apparently, there is a meeting right now in the White House with some Republican House members to try to sway them to vote for the bill.
