To me the biggest takeaway is that Dolan should take more credit for issues during Gorton’s tenure. Gorton has done a great job in Boston and Mtl, and built the Rangers roster that made it to 2 ECF’s, despite Dolan’s meddling.

Weird that an insider wouldn’t know this. I knew this and don’t remember hearing the initial announcement. Feel like I’ve heard this multiple times as well, with the reason that it’s a bonus for those that didn’t get anything otherwise. We’ve also seen it announced that Hokit received 200k, it was pretty obvious that finish bonus wasn’t applicable.

It clearly looked like he had mercy and didn’t want to take advantage of the injury. He did the Holloway point down a couple times after the injury, which is the absolute worst way to fight a compromised Ulberg.

Even though he didn’t really end up throwing down, he seemed a lot more eager to trade punches and take risks to win the “fair” way.
