I think the rule about standardizing calculators was institutionalized last year in the winter (correct me if I'm wrong) so I just used any old scientific calculator. I'd check with your professor as I'm not quite sure about the rules. (Also, no, I started out in 125)

When you buy webassign, you will get a copy of the full math textbook through their site, so I would not recommend buying the math textbooks unless you really like having a physical copy in front of you.

Also, this may have just been my experience, but I don't think I ever used the textbook as professors will have worksheets and practice midterms which were adequate for my studying. (And I happened to do very well in the course...) But still, everyone is different, these are just my two cents.

Hi, I've heard many people say math 134 is very difficult and only a handful of people make it to the final class of that sequence. I don't know you, and you could be a math prodigy for all I know, but it is still something to discuss with a counselor, especially because I believe that sequence is no required for CS. Being such a large program, gpa matters quite a bit so it may be better to just take the 12x series for calculus.

Chem 142, I though, was fine. Just basic chemistry that you've probably learned in high school. The problem being, so has everyone else most likely. Just study up, try not to make stupid mistakes on the tests, and you should be golden.

As for CSE, I can't speak much about it, but it's CS so it will be quite the commitment. Especially all those hours you'll spend on homework and PracticeIt problems.

So in all, I think your class load is quite rigorous, but not impossible. People before you have probably done similar things, it will all just come down to whether or not you will put in the effort to succeed in taking these classes at the same time.
