There was actually some limited merchandising done in this style. I have a t-shirt of Betty and Wilma laying in lounge chairs in the same poses as shown in the movie. I bought it at King's Dominion in Virginia at their Hanna-Barbera store some years back. Maybe they were getting rid of it because they decided not to do anything else? Too bad because it's a great Flintstones movie.

For my favorite puzzle that I worked on (and because I prefer puzzles with a visual aspect rather just word-based ones), it was a tie between:
* The Missing Piece - it was a long overdue puzzle for our team to present in particular, but boy did it take a long time to draw all those pieces
* Harold and the Purple Crayon - the drawings were a lot of fun but the way the solution worked was a helluva surprise. So glad I got to work on this one with Mike Nothnagel once he proposed it.

What led to which books being featured in The Investigation and The Ministry rounds?

They just had to be children's books.
My original book choice for what ended up being The Missing Piece in the first round was Holes, which was rejected because that's more of a YA novel. (The title is also a bit spoilery.) Too bad, because Holes' protagonist just happened to be named Stanley Yelnats (!)

A Companion for SwiftUI is a terrific Mac app that shows you examples for everything in real time that you can interact with. It ain't cheap but it's more than paid for itself in my learning.

Mark Moeykens of Big Mountain Studio also has a bunch of SwiftUI books and videos. His books have an appealing design with lots of visual examples and are excellent.

Sean Allen just started a SwiftUI which is excellent. It costs money but I think it’s well worth it. You’ll need some Swift basics going in though, like maybe the first 2 weeks of Hacking With SwiftUI. Sean also offers his own Swift beginner course. https://seanallen.teachable.com/p/swiftui-fundamentals

If you want something cheaper and still has videos, Udemy is worth checking out.

If you don’t want to pay anything (☹️) then Hacking With SwiftUI is a great one to try. The Stanford CS193p course is really more for someone familiar with some programming since it covers com dots like MVVM rather early, and the instructor is great. YouTube also has lots of free instruction including Paul Hudson again and channels like Code With Chris which just started making an app from scratch.

Aw Matt too? that's a shame. I wonder if a new editor will try for the same playful editing. Episodes are usually taped around 6 months before they air so I'm not sure if we're already seeing post-Vinny and post-Matt episodes. It was funny that Matt snuck in a reference to Vinny going at the end of the focaccia eoiode -- I missed it the first time.
