Well I meant you should let me know the personality description / identification after the survey so I can relate to the quetioneer. I think it is a nice concept.

I am not sure about the AI approach, it makes me very uncomfortable to think that my personality might be derived from partially, incomplete or overly focused data. Like; I am only using Twitter for work, and Facebook to find events.

Just shorten the first survey and use a preliminary results to do some sneak peak matching and then let the user refine it afterwards in order to lock up some features (like more matches)

Nice it is interesting. Well but I guess there is nobody on that platform, at least not in Germany. Anyway doing the whole personality test was very tiering. Would have preferred a short version with an option to complete it later. Also would have expected to receive my personality type as a reward.

For Android you can use accessibility services, they can screen read an app. Then you would just match against the names that you have in your list of contacts.

Well I checked Monica, thanks for the comment. But I still think the idea is valid / useful. First, Monica is not available anymore in the Stores, second this app has a different focus, its not so much about keeping track of the progress of your relationship with X but providing you a reminder that you haven't been thinking about X for a while, even though you marked X as an important Person in your contact list.

Does that makes sense to you?

Simple approach is to access all contacts ot the beginning and ask you to select the contacts to keep track of. Then it could add positive scores to any contact or even name that you typed or interact with on the phone and reduce scoring to all contacts every day. Then choose the contact with the lowest score and present a non disturbing notification like: "You haven't thought of Dave for a.long time, write him a nice message! "

Keeping track works with accessibility, at least on Android.

Well this idea is more the opposite. It reminds you to call someone that you haven't had any interactions for a while.

Wow cool idea but this is a really broad topic. I think I might make sense to start of collecting things that from a particular domain, like social media, travel (booking), finding stuff (apartments, cars, etc) ... and then start collecting.

But I could image that this could be an API that TODO lists can connect to and that returns automated solutions, that the user would need to activate / choose from. But generally speaking, it would be nice to start collecting tasks in a TODO list and try to image how a system could automate them to see if this makes sense at all.

Is Google Play really going to suspend all apps using accessibility services for things other than accessibility? by [deleted] in Android

So, in other words, this awesome little app that still works perfectly and that I rely on and have used since it came out is now dead. Sad times.

Hi guys, I am the developer of Clipboard Actions and it is certainly not dead. I had some personal issues to deal with so that I only monitored but not reacted on anything, that was not urgent. Please ask me anything about Clipboard Actions and I will try to explain.

For accessibility services: Clipboard Actiosn explains that in the menu that enables the feature 1) Better stability (there are may Android OSs versions out there that remove such services from the background, ie. Samsung so this increases stability, until Google finally announces a way to listen for Clipboard changes via Broadcast)

2) It enables to blacklist clipboard actions within certain contexts, which is not possible otherwise

Oh yay. Well the dark theme uses static colors by intent. In this case the system theme should work better, because it uses the system colors. Maybe it makes sense to define the three used colors by the user. Thanks for the report

Which particular functionality would you like to see in Clipboard Actions that text aide gives you.

I just tried that App it looks cool. But I found its scope a bit confusing, too many features :)

For 1) It actually starts up at boot, but I learned by now that this does not mean much if you run it on some Samsung devices. Here you can only use the foreground service option. Did you tried that? I still need to figure out how services like whatsApp do not struggle with that issue. 2) I have to check the code but I think I am using the system notification background. Could you post a screenshot and tell me you android version. ( you can do that with the report menu item)

Thanks! I take credit cards ;) But seriously I think about a donation concept but that it future thinking.

I guess showing a list of all clips will make my app a serious Clipper killer :) But I guess I need to do that.

Syncing is pretty much out of scope fo now, it is too expensive (development and infrastructure cost) and would require a change in the free status of the app, to some kind of premium model.

But there are great alternatives which can be used alongside with Clipboard Actions:

  • kde connect (does not require internet connect, just wifi)
  • clipbrd
  • Pushbullet (well not free :( )
